Premier Inn Newhaven hotel

Was a comfy place to stay.

i had to pay £15 on top of the £200+ room charge for getting in at 1pm. There was no lavatory paper in the room. Otherwise okay

Felt very let down by premier inn this time. Unfortunately we stayed during the heat wave and our room was suffocating. For security reasons the window will only open 2-3 inches which would be acceptable if there was decent air conditioning!. Premier inn had placed two fans in the room but all these did was move the hot air around and they were so noisy we could barely hear the tv. Sleeping was impossible - you either couldn't sleep because of the noise from the fans or you turned them off and cooked...We left at 3.30 am because we couldn't stand it any longer. One positive is they have recently decorated and replaced the carpets so it is looking nice and clean. We will not be staying during the summer months again.

The hotel had recently been renovated and it has been done to a good specification. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom was clean and nicely decorated. The only thing that marred our stay was the breakfast (or lack of it) in the Brewers Fare twined with the hotel. After queuing for fifteen minutes for some food to be placed on the self service breakfast counter and no staff members able to give an estimate we gave up and went back to reception and asked for a refund for the breakfast as it was paid for in advance when booking the room on Premier Inns website. Still awaiting for it to be credited back into my account.

Clean and comfortable room, very convenient for Dieppe Ferry. Air-conditioning welcome in the heat! There were food options available though we did not use them - but did use the adjacent supermarket. Good parking facilities too.

Arrived at hotel after 7 hours on the road to be told you can't check in until 3p.m, I said are the rooms ready, the staff member said yes, so why are we having to pay an extra £15 for each of our two rooms to check in before 3p.m if the rooms are ready. Total rip off, that's me done with premier inn, and lucky enough we didn't prepay for breakfast as the food in the brewers fayre next door is disgusting. Standards and quality have gone down the pan. Used to often stay in premier inns but no more after this one
