Travelodge Stoke Talke

Great receptionist who was very welcoming and friendly. Good location for access to the A500 and A34 roads as well as a bus stop only a 5 minute walk away. Unfortunately, the hotel itself is very dated and lack on soundproofing between the rooms is a major issue. I could hear the guy in the room below talking and could also hear the room next door opening and closing their toilet seat! I was awoken at 1am with an inconsiderate neighbour with their tv on very loud and coughing loudly. There is a main wing and smaller wing to the side. I stayed on the 1st floor in the main wing but I would recommend you ask for the 1st floor in the small wing to minimise the number of people around you and source of external noise. View from the room was nice however.

Rooms need a bit of tlc but were fine for what we needed. Comfy beds. Easy check in and a very handy Greggs!

They warm welcome from donna as amazing. From a big smile to information about all we needed to know. The children wer happy with the colouring sheets and pens.the room was spotless and have the best night's sleep. Will be back very soon in the near future

The front of house employee was very friendly and helpful. The room was a little dated and had an unpleasant smell on arrival. It was a urine smell that just lingered in the room. I tried leaving the bathroom door shut but the smell was still there. Everything seemed clean in terms of the bedding etc and that smelled fine. I just couldn’t put my finger on it. It’s not the first time I have had a room from travelodge where it’s had an unpleasant smell.

its a Travelodge so wasn't expecting anything major, when we checked in staff was cheerful, hotel had a slight strange smell about it, in the room it was clean but i could smell what can only be explained as cheesy feet (not mine) and bed was comfy, bath room was a bit out dated but it was usable, when booking i thought it had air con but sadly not, so we didn't sleep well, unfortunately there is no restaurant or anything connected, there is a Gregg's and subway over the road but wasn't interested in that

Booked out the entire Travelodge for a corporate event - and were charged over 3x the going rate for the honor of doing so. Got a call 2 hours before our guests were due to check in, who were traveling in from all over the UK, to say that they'd (deliberately) double booked us and they had cancelled five of our rooms. Completely unacceptable, as is the £46 they've offered us as a 'gesture of goodwill'. Yes, they offered to move our guests elsewhere, but there's nothing else in the area and we'd still then have had to organise transport for another hotel 40 minutes away - hence having to use them in the first place. Disgusting - won't be using them again for any reason - business or personal. At least if you mess up, own it and put it right. They clearly don't care about their customers.
