It was my first visit here for a wedding, and was pleasantly surprised how nice it all was. The wedding was very well planned out, and the food was to die for. The starters was tomato soup, it was the tastiest I have ever had, and the main course, the beef was to die for, it was well flavoured and it fell apart. (I needed more gravy myself) but it was delicious with all the rest of the vegetables, roasted potatoes and a huge yorkshire pudding. The dessert a chocolate brownie I think with ice-cream (I'm not a dessert person lol) was lovely too. I would give 5 stars, but we were a bit squashed in the seating layout, other than that, it was perfection.

Went to a wedding here best part was the staff they were excellent in fairness , serving staff and waiting staff . Food was really good could have done with more gravy though , few beers on draft pricing not to bad but later in the night in the function room the prices did go up , found a little hack there’s an Indian restaurant down the corridor and I asked was I allowed to order beer here and was told yes , much better choices and prices so all in all had a great day/night and would definitely recommend this place ,

A delightful hotel. All the staff were extremely helpful- nothing was too much. The breakfast selection was amazing and Theresa was super helpful, professional and friendly. I would highly recommend this place and would definitely visit again. It was a stopover for me before meeting friends and I enjoyed my time here. The Nepalese restaurant was also very good.

This hotel makes great play of being the location for the filming of Smithy and Sonia’s abortive wedding in the finale of Gavin and Stacey. If like them you’re looking for somewhere special, either for a celebration or just a few days away, after our experience you might like to choose elsewhere to avoid disappointment. The location is certainly “lush”, as Stacey would say, and the grand entrance fills you with anticipation. The young staff on duty tried very hard to look after us, but they had some real challenges to deal with. When we entered our bedroom, styled The Moroccan Room, on the first floor, the first impressions were of space and comfort, with a great view over the grounds in front of the hotel, albeit without a view of the “Sydney Opera House, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon or herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically across the plains”. Closer inspection, however, revealed some rubbish left in a bedside drawer, which we put down to an oversight and decided not to mention. Turning the kettle around in anticipation of a cuppa, we discovered an enormous dent in its side, which meant the kettle leaked as a result. Our first trip down to Reception brought someone scurrying up to photograph the damage, but it was over 24 hours before a replacement was found. The first replacement didn’t work, so one of the staff gave up the kettle from their own room so that we could enjoy our morning tea the next morning without boiling water spurting everywhere. By this time, we’d also discovered that the impressive wall-mounted TV didn’t work. In response, Reception warned us that the maintenance man would be pretty busy the next day (…we suspect he’s pretty busy every day…) but they’d ask him to replace the remote control if he had time. A replacement duly arrived the following evening but, despite the best efforts of the young man from the bar, it wouldn’t connect to the satellite, so we were without TV throughout our stay. Housekeeping visited the room every day, changing all the towels despite the fact we’d left them on the towel rail to signal that we’d use them again, but doing nothing else: nothing was wiped down or cleaned, dirty mugs and spoons were left on the side, no replacement teabags or biscuits were provided; these were all things which were being done each day in the room of other members of our family a floor above. Once again, the young girl from Reception hurried upstairs to us with replacements, which was particularly good of her as she was the only member of staff on duty in the entire hotel on Friday evening, flitting between looking after guests, running Reception and serving in the Bar: what could possibly go wrong? When we checked out on Saturday morning, Darren, whom we hadn’t seen before, told us cheerily that our preregistered credit card had been charged for our stay, so there was nothing left to pay. When we explained the problems we’d experienced, he took on a solemn, sympathetic face, and took careful notes, promising t

Had our wedding here in July 10th. It was perfect from start to finish. This is the perfect venue. Alison the wedding coordinator was very professional & so approachable & she even brought in her own fan from home on the day of the wedding as it was a very hot day. Then there was Hannah & Georgia who were more than helpful on the day of the wedding. The catering on the day of the ceremony was delicious too. Can’t wait for our one year anniversary when we have complimentary stay. Thanks again for a wonderful day.

Has our wedding at Court Colman Manor yesterday. Absolutely outstanding is all I can say. Nothing was too much trouble and Alison our wedding coordinator made sure everything ran smoothly. Hog roast was beautiful with more than enough to go round and the same can be said for breakfast the next morning. Bar and waiting staff were amazing. Friendly and professional and will do anything you need to make your day special. Rooms are beautiful and spacious all having their own individual theme/style. All this wrapped up with beautiful grounds and views. Excellent all round could not have asked for any better. Wish I could do it again.

This just wasn't what i was expecting. The room is beyond its best. I had to go out for food as there wasn't anything edible, when you have been traveling all day this is the last thing you want to do. It's a shame these places have been left to rot so badly. It's no surpise people book with larger chains!
