We have stayed here previously when visiting family in Newcastle. Convenient. Clean. Good restaurant.

We first got to town between 1 and 130pm. Since it is off season and only 6 cars in the lot we stopped to see if they'd let us check in. When I asked if we'd be able to check in just a little early the gal (darker skin and dark brown hair) said I won't start check in until 3. I asked even if it's not busy? She very rudely said check ins at 3 and pointed to the plaque om the wall behind her. That right there made my decision we won't go back and will stay at smaller motels. We have family there and 1 goes there t days a week. The hotel was clean, had lots of bathrooms, was quiet, and has a large gym. The hot tub was only luke warm but our kid enjoyed it. The restaurant was out if ketchup packets so they only allowed us 1 per meal and we had 4 of them. Food was OK but had no seasoning to it. So the hotel itself is comfy and good, but the lack if unwelcomness from the first gal ruined it for us. We got the feeling she was almost off shift and didn't wanna do the tiny bit of check in for us? The next gal was surprised as she said she'd check people in early when it's off season and not busy.

First and last stay
We stay in many many hotels and this one is down on the list. Beds were loud, 2nd floor smelled horrible from the laundry room. Shower gels were empty. Pool was nice, so extremely hot in the pool area.
Staff was hardly friendly. Breakfast was subpar. Very small space for eating especially when hotel is full of kids for a volleyball tournament. Hotel grounds were good. I probably wouldnt stay here again.
