The Swan Hotel and Spa

Overall we had a good stay, but it fell short of an excellent stay. Some of the rooms are traditional (aka tired) and some are more contemporary (have been done up more recently) but they don’t make that clear when booking. However they were very obliging in moving rooms for us. Our new room on the top floor was really hot as it was very hot weather and no aircon working. The food in the Bistro was delicious and the staff very friendly, but there was a massive wait on food as they had overbooked with a conference upstairs and a coach of American travellers. Again, they responded appropriately by comping off our drinks and starters, Thankyou. The spa was lovely. This hotel is in a brilliant location with amazing paddleboarding and walks literally on the doorstep. So much potential to be an excellent hotel, but they are falling short at the moment.

Absolutely wonderful massage today, Jodie was fantastic and made me feel extremely comfortable and at ease during the session. The spa facilities are excellent and the staff were great. They made sure we were kept hydrated and happy throughout the day!

Inside is nice open and light. There was a small que at the bar but got served quick. The wine this was very good and we sat outside over looking the beautiful water. Dogs are welcome and staff were very accommodating. Its a beautiful peaceful place to enjoy food or drinks or both

Spent two nights at this fabulous hotel for my birthday. Ate in the pub and the brassiere both served amazing food. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Room was clean and spacious with plenty of drawer and hanging space. Loved that we could use the Spa and gym facilities. Highly recommended

My wife and I stayed here during our honeymoon and decided to bring our mothers for a weekend away after thoroughly enjoying our first stay. We were not disappointed. Over our 4 week trip in the UK this year this has been the best place we’ve stayed. The staff are super friendly and engaging. The beds are to die for! I wish I booked an extra day to just lay in the bed for the whole day! The adult only spa is definitely a highlight, enjoy the most of it and relax and unwind! I wish we had one of these back home in Australia!

The excellent facilities and exceptional staff create an inviting and luxurious environment that I highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Fantastic location, very clean and comfortable room. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The menu and food were great. Walk out onto a Beautiful view of the River Leven, fantastic access to the Windermere way. Spa facilities are fab. I had a very happy and relaxing time here and will definitely go back again. All in all fantastic.

It was a delightful experience. We enjoyed drinks along the water after a day of adventure. We finished the day with supper at in the bar. The food portions were good and the food was tasty. We apprecitated that they took special care for our friends severe nut allergy.

Excellent hotel. The Pub and Restaurant were brilliant and we loved the food. We had a spa voucher so also got to experience this and it’s one of the best we’ve been to. The room was lovely and super comfy bed. Location is also perfect, we were able to get on the water from the hotel and paddle board up to fell foot.
