Called here for a quick lunch on our way to Hoar Cross Hall. A good choice of sandwiches, toasties, paninis and jacket potatoes. Also good breakfast menu. We had toasties and paninis all cooked fresh and were tasty and good value for money. The table next to us were having afternoon tea. The cakes looked delicious. The staff were friendly and enthusiastic and gave the impression they loved their work.

Great cafe and the owner and her sister really make us feel welcome. Very suitable for cyclists. Good coffee and lots of cake choices. Pricing very reasonable. We arranged a surprise birthday celebration for one of our cycling buddies. Not only did the ladies bake a cake but they also sang happy birthday.

Lovely tea shop in a quaint village. On road parking or in pub carpark as pub currently closed. Decor is beautiful. Wide range of food and drinks including afternoon teas. Bacon and sausage baps were delicious. Friendly welcoming staff. Highly recommend.

I had a lovely birthday breakfast with my sisters, niece and great nephew. Karen had made me a beautiful cake. We had a lovely time. The place was packed. I'm not surprised because Karen and Jenny are wonderful hosts and make you feel so comfortable, like you've known them forever. Thankyou

I contacted Karen at 'The Old Baker's Cottage' to enquire about an afternoon tea at fairly short notice as an early family hen do for my daughter as her aunt was visiting from France and her Nan has not been well. Karen was so accommodating even accepting a couple of requests for specific sandwich choices . We all had a wonderful couple of hours enjoying great food and service and lots of laughs. Thank you Karen for helping us make such happy memories. Your prices really are exceptional value and would be at a few pounds more. Also we would have been very happy to pay a deposit and may be something to consider. Please keep up the good work. Annette Brown

Karen and Dave are very accommodating and you feel very comfortable in their tea room , the bed and breakfast facilities are excellent and the service is great, they have nice touches of lovely tea/coffee making facilities in the bedroom along with bottle water in glass bottles

A business trip to Newborough allowed me to make my first visit to the Vintage Tea Rooms, and I was very impressed with the experience. The venue was very spacious, and the service was first class, being both friendly and enthusiastic. The cakes on offer looked delicious, and the two that we ate were exceptionally tasty. Car parking is available immediately opposite the premises. Highly recommended.

This is a review for the wonderful welcome we received when my Husband and I called in at the Old Bakers Cottage Vintage Tea Rooms. What a breath of fresh air to find this gem on our way to Bakewell to stay for a couple of days. It was like going back in time when people genuinely had time to serve and chat in such peaceful surroundings. Not to mention the DELICIOUS CAKES. We were so impressed that we had to call in again on our way home after our break. We will definitely be back again. David and Janice Reding

This lovely coffee and cake shop, which also serves light meals, is a real treasure. The staff are incredibly friendly and the prices are competitive to say the least. Plenty of seats are available inside and out and you are always made to feel very welcome. I can't recommend the cakes too highly, they are delicious. Easily the best place of its kind in the area.
