We stayed at the hotel after the flight. The hotel met our expectations. Our check in as well as check out were very quick and simple. The room was spacious , cosy and clean. The breakfast was tasty. The staff was very helpful. IWe would like to mention Saffi who helped us solve a technical problem with our devices.

Ich hatte das Hampton Inn am Airport Newark gewählt, da in vielen Bewertungen der zuverlässige Shuttle Service hervorgehoben wurde. Ich kann das nur bestätigen: pünktlich und mit einem kompetenten Fahrer besetzt. Das Haus selbst ist standardisiert, soll heißen saubere Zimmer mit Kaffeemaschine, Klima, Safe und Kühlschrank. Was braucht man mehr? Vielleicht freundliche Mitarbeiter am Empfang. Dort kam ich mir eher vor wie bei einem Militär-Wachhabenden. Schroff, aber zumindest mit präzisen Informationen.

This Hampton is your average, standard, reliable outpost for comfortable and convenient rooms with free breakfast at affordable prices. Cleanliness and staff friendliness met expectations, but it’s a slightly older property. The breakfast could’ve been a bit better at this particular Hampton, but the breakfast attendant was very kind and helpful to me when I needed assistance grabbing items. The glaring downside to this hotel is the fact that there’s no shuttle that’s compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which would mean it has a hydraulic lift or extendable ramp for wheelchair users to board the shuttle without exiting their wheelchairs. I am an electric chair user, and mine is 400 pounds—it’s no cake walk to lift it into the trunk of a van or shuttle by hand. And when you’re in the “desert” of no wheelchair-accessible taxis that is Newark Airport, it’s a nightmare trying to get to this hotel. Long story short, after waiting nearly two hours late in the evening after a long flight from Paris, the Port Authority literally had to give me a private ride in an accessible van that they have. Which they had no obligation to do; they were simply being incredibly kind New Yorkers. If I wasn’t as lucky, I don’t know how in the world I would’ve gotten to this Hampton. There’s a huge, fast-moving highway between the airport and the hotel, and while I do sometimes travel on streets, there’s no way in heck I would ever attempt to drive myself in my wheelchair on those scary interchange ramps with cars flying by at 60 miles per hour. Thankfully, though: after checkout, I explained all this to the hotel folks, and we managed to find the minimum number of people (four) to be able to indeed lift my chair into the back of the airport shuttle. They were great guys who helped me out; thanks so much to them! But that doesn’t excuse the fact that, technically, this hotel is breaking ADA law. There are more pressing life issues to prioritize right now than report and complain, but that just means I’ll have to pick another hotel near EWR if I ever transit through there again (which I likely will).

When rating a hotel, I consider the room rate and what is offered for it. I had stayed at another EWR hotel before, it was totally disappointing, and considered Hampton Inn this time due to late arrival. I should had gone straight to NYC - big regret. The room was partly renovated but there was a lot left to be desired, the bedding quality was poor, and sound proofing was poor despite a huge A/C unit by the window making its own noise. This is at most a $150/night hotel, even in Manhattan. The only reason for not giving 1 star is that breakfast was not atrocious.

We spent the night here before catching a flight to Europe for vacation. It is very close to the Newark airport and has a shuttle. It was perfect for what we needed. Room was clean and surprisingly comfortable. We arrived early, way before check in. They will allow early check-in for a fee which was convenient. The included continental breakfast was standard Hampton Inn fare. The layout for the breakfast was organized and clean. It was easy to get an Uber from the hotel.

Hey, y'all, be careful with the Hampton Inn Airport Shuttles at Newark Airport! Apparently there are two Hampton Inns that offer shuttle service from the Airport. I was booked at the Elizabeth Hampton Inn Newark Airport. I accidentally got onto the shuttle that brought me to this Hampton Inn Newark Airport. When this place said I had no reservation, I figured out my mistake. So be cautious! There was no indication on the shuttle as to which Hampton Inn it was going to. If in doubt, ask the driver!

not a great hotel, not the worst. It has hilton digital key ready from the app, so check in was a blast, went directly to my room. room was clean, but felt old. I noted many of the pictures of the property in the web are 3d renders, that looks modern, and clean, and new. in reality hotel looks older than the 3d renders. I went back to check in area to get physical keys, and reserved the shuttle for the next day. just a note the shuttle pick up and leaves you at a parking lot near the airport, you have to take the airport train to get to your terminal. I went to walk around the area of the hotel, and it's really a bad call, dont do it. dirty streets, no sidewalks, a lot of smell, and you dont feel secure. if you just come to sleep before your flight is ok. not a memorable stay, will try a different property next time

I write no-drama reviews. I have this hotel 4/5 stars. Here’s why: There was plenty good about this hotel. The staff was friendly, the housekeeping was thorough. The rooms were nice, beds were comfy, bathrooms were updated and nice. We didn’t use the shuttle but it looked prompt. Our only issues were small. Not enough to say we wouldn’t stay again, but annoying at worst. For one, the breakfast was decent but the buffet area was horribly congested around 9:30. Just not a good layout. But again, just annoying. Nothing terrible. The biggest annoyance was that the entire building works off of only two elevators, one of which was inoperative. This caused terrible waits, especially during peak times and when housekeeping was trying to do what they need to do. It was not uncommon to wait 8-10 minutes to get to the lobby from the sixth floor, watching two full elevators go by in the process. To be fair, I don’t know what kind of urgency the hotel was putting behind getting the broken unit fixed, but we only saw work crews one day of our three-day stay. We overheard a worker complaining about the hotel not ordering a crucial part, presumably to save money. If that is true, it tells me the hotel leadership was prioritizing a few bucks over guest comfort, which to me doesn’t correspond with true hospitality. So I’d say if you want to stay here, see if their elevator is fixed. If so, we recommend the Hampton Inn at Newark Airport.
