Tolles B&B mit viel Charme in bester Lage. Sehr schön ruhiges Zimmer in einem historischen Townhouse. Frühstück völlig ausreichend für einen langen Tag in NYC. Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Eigene kleine Dachterasse. Vielfältige Dinner~Möglichkeiten in nächster Nähe. Zum Times Square ca 3 Minuten zu Fuß. Zur MTA ca. 5 Minuten. Ideal für einen Besuch einer Broadway-Show, Nicht weit zu den Hudson Yards und zum Highline,

Superb gem of a hotel. Absolutely beautiful premises, spacious beautiful decorated rooms and bathroom, very clean, very quiet, amazing roof terrace, great staff, lovely area near great restaurants. Easy access to everything. If I return to NYC this place will be my ONLY choice. Loved every minute. Thank you.

We always come back to this hotel when we visit NY. It is so neat and tidy. The linens and beds are a high quality. The staff are very kind and helpful. It is also very quiet even though it's in a great neighboorhood. There are lots of restaurants nearby.

Good hotel, staff very helpful, great location. Bit disappointed no room upgrade as friends special birthday and had booked a year before but room clean and comfortable. Roof terrace a great bonus. Breakfast set you up for the day. Reception not as expected on arrival but good not to waste the area just a bit surprising.

The hotel is a historic beautiful boutique, with all the accommodations. Right on restaurant row and 1 block from time square. sound proof windows. Would highly recommend this hotel if staying in New York. There is also a piano bar across the street and a jazz restaurant.

This was our second stay at Hotel Scherman. It is in a great location on Restaurant Row, two blocks from Times Square, but it is quiet. It is very clean with comfortable beds. The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet is included. There is a rooftop lounge area with a view. The price was reasonable for midtown Manhattan. Would recommend opting for the larger King room.

First impression of "lobby" and initial check-in were low points. This appears to be a former SRO establishment, complete with incredibly noisy bar that was especially high-volume on Thursday and Saturday nights. Since the buildings are integrated at mezzanine level, it resonates throughout the rooms. That being said, we did sleep incredibly well here with a little help from earplugs. Nothing like the thick walls on these old buildings. And it is clean. The neighborhood is fantastic with great subway access throughout the city. So we may give it another try.

We (myself and my two teenage daughters, aged 17 and 19) stayed at Hotel Scherman for a week and loved it! Having been to NY multiple times in the past I'd been to some real dives... but Hotel Scherman is anything but! It is clean, well-kept and very friendly (without being in your face). Our room was compact, but easily fine for all three of us, and we really appreciated the coffee machine, fridge and microwave. The breakfast area is super in design, functionality and atmosphere! And the food is great too! (I would have liked some decaff coffee, but you can't have it all). The staff - all of them! - are extremely helpful, friendly and responsive to anything. (Our key card occasionally didn't work, so they replaced it without fuss immediately). All in all it was a wonderful experience at Hotel Scherman - a quiet oasis within the bubble of Manhattan!

We had the best experience at Hotel Scherman! We ended up receiving an upgraded room, and it was amazing. Clean, spacious, quiet and basically perfect. We had kids with us and there was a really nice playground half a block away. We also visited the Intrepid and saw 2 Broadway shows, all of which were walkable with the kids aged 7&4. The continental breakfast had a variety of options and cut out the expense of having to go out. I would rate our stay a 10 and will definitely book there again the next time we want to stay in that area. Thanks Hotel Scherman!
