I really don't like it. The environment is OK, but it's in a place with nothing. So you have to eat in the hotel. The food is bad and expensive. The facilities are also average. I went there for the swimming pool, but it was under renovation. It's far from the attractions. It's inconvenient to take a taxi and it's expensive.

One of my two favorite hotels in Egypt! Although I only stayed for one night, the experience was great! ! ! It can be clearly seen that the entire hotel pays great attention to details, the environment is superb, there is the hotel's own organic plantation behind, and the breakfast is also rich and varied! The only disadvantage is that the location is relatively remote and it is difficult to call a taxi.

Arriving late at night in my classic Peugeot taxi, I felt like I was part of an Upper Egypt TV saga, especially since I was wearing a comfortable Egyptian Galabia. The hotel is located in a peaceful greenfield, away from the busy life of Luxor. The decor is a beautiful mix of Upper Egypt and Pompeii styles, with vaulted ceilings and arches that echo the gentle sounds of fountains. The staff member who showed me to my room was very nice and friendly. I briefly met the owner or the moudira , who seemed curious about a guest arriving so late. I did not get to try any meals at the hotel, but with such a lovely setting, I imagine the food would be good. I highly recommend this hotel for its quiet location and unique charm

Stunning traditional style hotel with modern accommodations. Beautiful architectural details, lovely landscaping and pool. My favorite part was taking coffee in the garden and listening to an Egyptian country morning unfold. Very accommodating to guest requests. Kind and professional service. If you go, plan to stay longer.

Thank you to everyone at Al Moudira as we had the most wonderful time when we stayed during our honeymoon in Egypt. We had the most amazing rooms and the welcome and level of service from the whole team was exceptional. On top of the food in the two excellent restaurants we tried and the stunning gardens, pool and grounds, we really enjoyed talking to the staff who went above and beyond to make our stay a special one - in particular learning Arabic and practising English with Matta who, like everyone at Al Moudira, looked after us so well. Our thanks to everyone at Al Moudira! Maitre de Maison, Thomas Huth, and his team make this a genuine Luxor institution that is not to be missed. We are already looking forward to our next trip!

You may think Al Moudira is far (it is on the West Bank) but as soon as you step into this oasis you wish you will stay here for ever or at least for long. You are surrounded by palm trees birds charming architecture lamps stars - like in heaven. The rooms are stunning (we have been here twice in family suites both beautiful, large, Like sleeping in an Arabian night dream). Take a walk in the huge garden and you will find sofa every where and candles. The pool is amazing and fresh with a nice restaurant (the choice is not vast but food is delicious; try their wine 365). The waiters and people are the nicest and most helpful ever. I hope that now that it has been taken over by Relais Chateaux it won’t change; loosing its dust which is part of the wonder. Do not make this another luxury place with no warm or soul.
