We made the reservation for this room on Priceline and had received confirmation. When we arrived at the hotel, the person at the front desk has not record of our reservation. When the reservation was located, stated the room was not clean and it would be an additional 45 minutes for it to be cleaned. This was at 7pm on a Wednesday night, I find it difficult to believe there was not another room open. Not a big deal though, we sat in the lobby and waited for the room to be cleaned. When it was cleaned we were waiting for food to be delivered. I asked the front desk to call the room when it arrived as we wanted to get settled in. The gentleman at the front desk stated there are no phones in the rooms and he would not be able to contact us. I thought that is very weird as I stay in a lot of hotels and have never seen or heard of this. We get to the room, settle in, and go to bed. At 3:30am there is a knock on the door as someone is yelling "housekeeping" and opening the door with a key (all at the same time); we had the chain on the door and this stopped the intruder. The man then closed the door and left, I proceeded to chase after the person and discover he is the overnight front desk person. This man then looks at me and states he did not know anyone was in the room as no one told him. He is giving me attitude and stated he was going to clean the room. Again, I have stayed in many hotels and have never experienced anything like this. Housekeeping at 3:30am, running away, then giving me attitude and no apology. The two of us were unable to sleep the rest of the night and now wish we would have contacted the police. The next morning, I went to the front desk to talk to someone, and the same man was there. I explained that the situation could have gone very bad and barging in on others sleeping is terrible and not an acceptable situation. He proceeded to tell me he stays in other hotels and this stuff happens and it is just part of staying at a hotel. There was little more discussion, but I soon discovered this was a waste of my time and we checked out. Again, after thinking about the situation, I wish we would have contacted the police as this was a very sketching situation, considering no phone in the room and then the hotel staff attempting to barge into our room at 3:30am, while acting like we are in the wrong for being troubled by the situation. Honestly, some type of apology or compensation should have been offered, and there was
