Awful. Filthy, musky, dusty, old. Bed covers stained, dirty, and smelly. See attached photos. Neither our entry door or bedroom door closed or locked. Room carpet dirty. No place to put luggage. No toilet rolls. Toilet need a few flushes to work with such a small loo. The breakfast was not as ordered. Burned bacon of 2 pieces and expected to pay for extra when departing. Referred by our surgeon and made sure their recommendation was nothing what we expected or would have chosen. On complaining about our uncloseable doors and that the did not lock the owner said don't fuss we all know one another. He laughed it off. We had to enter our room through the dining room. Never to return for sure.

A very Nice Hotel
Aptly named Nice Hotel. Quaint and Quirky. Loads of character and charm. Spacious and well set out. Chef provided excellent food. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Handy to downtown New Plymouth. Would stay again if ever returning to the region.

This is a boutique hotel done well. It has unusual style and flamboyance that is charming rather than overwhelming. Excellent quality right through out. Caring staff who try their best and are attentive. We would certainly make this our base for any visits to New Plymouth. Charming, different and with all the features one would expect of a high quality hotel
