Helpful, friendly staff, nothing too much trouble. Spotless room, everything you need - fridge , microwave, cook top and dishwasher. Great location, handy to restaurants, cafes and bars and beach front. Iconic coastal walkway is just a step away. Reserved parking available. Excellent!!!

Sadly, there were a few things that needed attention: wobbly kitchen faucet/tap, dangerous even; TV very unsatisfactory - couldn't get any info on programmes and no Sky; top cupboards in the kitchenette were far too high for the average person - heaven help you if you were short - not safe to climb on chairs; upholstery repair needed on 'easy' chair, it had a very visible rip;

We booked two studio apartments for family, based on positive experiences over the years at other Quest accommodation in NZ. Unfortunately this choice was a mistake - there was unprofessional communication, damaged furniture, empty soap, shampoo and conditioner dispensers, stained carpets, no ice in the freezer, confusing parking, and very difficult to actually get into the building when we arrived and parked. Definitely don't waste your money here. I understand that each Quest is operated by separate management/ownership - if this is the case, then they need to take the New Plymouth Quest off their books because it damages the Quest brand.

Once this would have been a good place to stay, central location, Quest brand..now it’s well past its use by date. Don’t know why it is still a Quest product, the place is disorganised, dirty, tired, rides furniture and has pops security. Don’t stay here. It’s not good any more.

Clean, comfy, easily accessible out of hours checkin, simple parking, excellent linen, quiet, very fast wi-fi! Very comfy bed. Nearby restaurants and cafes, historic sites and more. Could see the wind wand from our window, so easy to orientate.

Nice and clean large rooms, right in the city close to shopping and coastal walks, friendly staff very welcoming. We would come back again for sure. Great restaurants and bars are just downstairs round the corner. Museum is also very handy Thanks Ray

Very limited parking, not as advertised, pretty much a roulette game as to who gets a park at any given time of day, otherwise you have to park on the road which is ok but being close to town, resturants and a shopping mall they are usually taken. Nil lighting in parking area. Back door security poor. No Sky TV which you would expect for accomodation of this price. Big room with washing machine and dryer. Very good proximity to the CBD. Front counter staff helpfull. Kitchen cleanliness ordinary, dirty greasy range hood, oven tray unusable.

Quest hotel situated in the center of the city, 2 minutes walk to the seaside walk. Surrounded by good cafes and restaurants. Room was very cozy and warm. Even dishwasher and washing machine were in the room.

Checking in after hours was easy. After arriving 5 hours late due to Air NZ cancelled flight. It was a short walk out to the good home restaurant which was open late for us. Bed and sheets were very soft and comfortable. Very clean. Will return again. A light breakfast was pre-booked and was fine for me.
