Front desk great help. Nice hostel. Just didn’t get breakfast as I had to leave earlier and was not able to get a bag to go.

It was not so expensive. The bed was ok although I prefer a harder mattress. No fridge on my room. sheets are polyester so sweaty and glitsy. Window can not open and like the other hotels this tour the air is stale. Good shower, quantity of towels and soaps. even an iron and table. I was on side so not too much sun or trafic noise. But do not use the laundry with your credit card. It is hacked and from Vietnam tries to get money from it. The credit card company suspected and called. Now the credit card is not use able for reservations which is very irritant. It seemed to happen more often. Breakfast also ok. Free parking nearby and neas stop of streetcar number 12 right to the famous Broad Street. 3 dollar for 24 hours riding, pensioners 80 cents. High frequency . Good choice

Reasonable, walkable to attractions

The Quisby Hotel isn't sure what it wants to be. It's part hotel, part hostel. We traveled with family that had two additional rooms besides ours. Our room was extremely small. The corner of the low Japanese platform bed was inches from the door inswing making it difficult to get luggage in the doorway. There were two small locker style storage units in the room that was awkward to put clothing in so we just left our things in our suitcases, on the floor because there isn't anywhere else to put a suitcase. Since there isn't much floor space, having luggage laying around made it tight to navigate around the room. The most negative aspect of our experience was the noise. It wasn't normal voices outside our room, it was loud, construction-like noises. We even heard a saw or power tool of some kind across the hall. The noise of people and banging went on all night, both nights we were there. Travelers, beware. The walls and ceilings are very thin. We heard every word spoken by our neighbors. We were quite tired after two nights. On a positive note, the showers were hot and good pressure. There is only a glass wall dividing the shower from the toilet area (no door), which I'm sure is intended to be fancy, but it only served to allow water to run out all over the floor. Poor design. The staff was nice and accommodating. The hotel/hostel location is near the French Quarter which we liked. The room was clean. Unfortunately, I couldn't consider recommending this hotel. I felt bad that we booked our room and our family followed our lead. They had to experience what we did.
