It's much cheaper than other hotels around, and the location is convenient. You can walk to Canal Street in about ten minutes. The price/performance ratio is very high and the facilities are very nice and beautiful. The lounge on the second floor is very suitable for studying and working.

You can tell a lot about the quality of service when something goes wrong, and in this case, it did. The hot water system failed, and the way the staff handled it was great. It was fixed within a few hours, and partial refunds were offered before I even needed to request one.

I had a wonderful experience at The Troubadour Hotel. As a solo traveler I wanted a safe location. When I walked in the lobby, I was drawn in by the stylish decor. Upon entry, I was immediately greeted by the front desk staff member who warmly welcomed me and proceeded to check me in. I asked if there would be an issue with my requesting a high floor he quickly responded "no problem." A pleasant surprise awaited me as I stepped into my room. The appointments carried through from the lobby's theme. My bed was comfortable and afforded me a good night's sleep. My only complaint is that there was no in room coffee maker. A special shout out to the front desk staffers Nathaniel and Zachary who were phenomenal on my entrance and exit. Shout out also to the "owner" (I met at the elevator,) who thanked me for my stay. Needless to say, this will be my hotel of choice the next time I am in New Orleans!

The hotel seems to be undergoing renovations. And it shows. Dim lighting, cramped elevators, no restaurant. I stayed there two nights. No maid service. I arrived at the hotel and sat parked in front for 20 minutes. But the valet never showed up. I ended up parking in the lot across the street, which was more convenient because I was able to charge my vehicle. I had a better stay there two years ago.
