Our room was not ready when we arrived, and we had to wait outside for 20 minutes while it was still being cleaned, despite having the keys. Additionally, we were unaware that our room would be located on the other street, and we weren't prepared for the noise from Frenchmen Street, but that’s manageable. Also, the Wi-Fi connection is weak.

I recently stayed at this vintage boutique hotel, and it was a total delight. Tucked away on a quiet street, the hotel had a faded elegance that made me feel at home right away. With Frenchmen Street right behind, this hotel is a prime location. Within walking distance of many jazz joints and fun and delicious eateries.

A very lovely French style hotel with the most amazingly helpful staff who went above and beyond to help us when we needed some assistance. We cannot thank them enough - the hotel is situated in the French District of New Orleans and is close to all the bars, shops and markets you could wish to visit. It is just a few blocks to the Mississippi paddle steamer and very walkable to the river, Bourbon Street, and even nearer to Frenchmen Street. This town is full of friendly people and we felt very safe in the day and at night. Thank you again for a wonderful three day holiday.

No hot water And the people that run the hotel don’t care. Pay your gas bill.. having to take cold showers is not acceptable.

I loved staying here. Miss Carol and all of her colleagues were warm, welcoming, and made me feel very much at home. Tim on the night desk was also fantastic. My first room had an issue with the back gate slamming and they moved me into a quiet room that was definitely an upgrade. It is so central to all the areas I wanted to explore: The French Quarter, the Marigny, Bywater are all close by, and the streetcar system easily accesses the CBD, Garden District and Irish Channel neighborhoods. The pool is beautiful and so appreciated in the early summer heat. Hot tub wasn't very hot but in this weather, not a problem. There is some shade over the pool with the beautiful trees surrounding the pool. My room and the public areas were clean, clean, clean! My four nights at the Lamothe House were perfect.

Absolutely perfect hotel.
So clean and comfortable. Beautiful space very well maintained. Classic old New Orleans feel.
The bed was super comfortable. The room felt very private and the climate control was perfect.
This hotel seems to be in a great location very walkable to everything in the Quarter, yet still easy to navigate via Uber.
Very nice pool. Comfortable temperature, clean, with a very nice hot tub.

This was my second time staying here and I absolutely love it. It’s in the middle of everything easy to walk to all areas. The staff are so warm and welcoming. I love the charm in history of the house. I would definitely recommend a stay here

3rd time here. Only minus is they decided to remove refrigerators from rooms except suites. A bizarre decision. Best part,no kids. Relaxing oasis.
