Wyndham Garden Baronne Plaza New Orleans

Great location, near to Roosevelt Hotel, Canal Street, Bourbon Street but far enough not to hear the noise. Clean and comfy but without cleaning for duration of staying, reception like a ghost town, not soul and nothing less that don’t feel reflective to the price.

A breakfast would have been great. The attached cafe was not included and had a small selection. We are not a fan of Indian food so the attached restaurant was not a draw for us. The hotel was clean and relatively quiet. Walking distance to the “action” and some sightseeing locations. Parking available for a change but limited.

Molly and everyone were great to work with; they went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Our group had several rooms for a couple of days, and checking in was simple and easy. and Molly would check on us to make sure we didn't need anything, and when it came to any changes we needed, it was a breeze.

Hotel is situated in a walking distance of only several minutes to the french quarter, clean and well maintained. The staff is unfriendly, does hardly know how to operate the computer system and makes mistakes, ask for the invoice and check it. They have rooms with and without windows, ask for a window room, they cost the same, but they do not tell you. The parking in the basement is very narrow and costs nearly half the room fee. Rooms are not cleaned unless you ask.

Cockroach found in the towels when wife was showering, loud thumping all nights from patrons, and smoke detectors that blinks above your pillow into your eyes at night - manager Wendy was awful and did not see her in person all 4 days, she remotely offered us only 10% off 1 night at the hotel in compensation which is a spit in the face considering she couldn’t say it to my face. We visited New Orleans with family and returned last night. Not sure where to start. We were there four nights and offered ONE housekeeping visit which had to be scheduled one day prior. We had to sit our trash outside our door one day as there are two tiny trash cans. The lobby is dingy and drab. It looks nothing like the picture posted on Trip Advisor. No breakfast/complimentary coffee to be found. There is a small coffee shop in the lobby where you can purchase coffee starting at $4.00 a cup. One of the elevators was disabled the entire time we were there. When exiting the elevator on floor 2 to access our room, there was a hair ball on the floor that was there the entire four days. The towels and linens were PAPER thin. I could see through our sheets to the mattress. Our air conditioning blew out directly as you entered the door; no circulation for a/c other than that area. We were told by the front desk that there was nowhere to sit outside on the property; however up on return last night, I saw that someone said there was indeed an outdoor courtyard. Hotel parking is $39 per day. We used SpotHero and got a parking garage less than a block away for $19 per day. There is an Indian cuisine restaurant with a bar attached to the lobby. We didn't go there; however, there are many restaurants in the area. The hotel IS located in an ideal location within walking distance to restaurants, entertainment, and the trolley depot. Don't be fooled by the pictures on the Wyndham website for this hotel!.
