My friends and I each booked rooms at this hotel and we felt like we were in a resort. The pool is amazing, and every staff person I interacted with was friendly and helpful. The space is beautiful. It's evident that they're new and working out a few kinks, but we had very few complaints. Note for travelers: Most of the rooms don't have windows to the outside natural light, but rather windows that look out on an interior hallway. If you love having real sunlight like I do, check with the hotel to make sure you're in one of those rooms!

Rinky-dink. The staff are unfriendly and unprofessional, the vaunted swim-up bar was never open, the pool cleanliness was iffy, and the bartender at the pool had no idea what he was doing. Our room was okay if small, but our last night there the people above us did ... SOMETHING for hours which created the most god-awful racket in our room -- I am not exaggerating when I say the walls were shaking and it sounded like bombs were going off. (Maybe their children were jumping up and down in the bathtub? We could never figure it out.) It went on until well past 2:00 a.m. and started again before 7:00. If you're tempted to stay in this hotel (which I do NOT recommend), at the very least get a room on the 2nd floor. Better yet, spend the extra money and stay at the Hotel St. Vincent instead.

I really want to give this place 4.5 stars but it’s not an option here. First of all, it is nice to have another cool option for a place to stay in New Orleans. It is away from all the madness near Bourbon but close enough to get you to just about everything. The hotel was great about sending updates prior to my stay but nothing mentioned parking. Luckily there’s street parking available and some other lots as well. But it would have been nice to know ahead of time. One recommendation- try to get a room that doesn’t back up to the bar. If you do, be prepared to hear the music until they close at 11pm. Also, the rooms all have large windows that face the inner hallways and only have shutters to get privacy. Not a big deal for me but some might find it weird to be sleeping while people are walking 2 feet away on the other side of the window. But the bed is super comfortable and cozy. Lastly, I went to the bar to use the complimentary drink token and was the only one there. I guess the bartender didn’t want to be working because his attitude and demeanor really showed it. Not a huge deal but it didn’t sit well with me. Overall I did enjoy the visit and liked not staying in a chain hotel and might stay here again in the future.

Stayed here with my 2 daughters on a quick family trip from Mississippi. The nicest place I have ever stayed. I loved the decor. We rented the queen loft. 2 twin beds upstairs and a queen downstairs. Very nice bar in the room. Would definitely stay here again. Would love to stay at the blackbird also !!

The property is super cute and a great location! I’ve never stayed in the Garden District before. I would definitely stay there again. The hotel is walkable to many areas. I loved it. Hotel staff very helpful and friendly.
