Do not book a so-called non-cancellable reservation. They are rigid and inflexible despite illness as a reason to be exempt from their policy. I found them impossible to deal with. They accused me of trying twice to cancel despite my explaining that I was told to call back after the weekend. Frustrating.

I will keep this review brief, but I cannot recommend this hotel due to the very poor customer service I received. A family member had a significant medical emergency and my business travel plans changed as a result. My reservation was for October 11th, and I called this hotel on October 8th to cancel the reservation for a refund. I spoke with Rebecca, the front desk attendant who told me should pass along my contact information to the manager Starla, who would be able to assist. That information was never relayed to Starla, and when I called to today to get an update, Starla told me she would not be able to give me a refund because I did not contact her in time. She states the call log was updated on October 11th regarding the medical emergency, even though I contacted the property on the 8th. I have traveled extensively over my career, and I have never been treated so unprofessionally. Quality Inn is definitely not the caliber of hotel that it holds itself out to be.

Room smelled funny, carpets filthy, less than friendly staff at check in. Comfortable bed, hot (but small) hot tub, pool area small and could have been a bit cleaner. Good for a night. A bonus was that the beach was just a few mins drive away. Kids loved the beach.

Your basic hotel. We stopped for one night on our way to Traverse City, Michigan. The room was clean. The breakfast was a routine free hotel breakfast, not bad. A safe environment. Location is right off the highway and it is very close to the water, there are some great restaurants and shops around within a 5 to 10 minute drive.

My experience was great from check-out to check-in. The lobby and my room were clean and well furnished. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The window in the room faced a forest and the room was quiet despite being close (1/4 mile) to the interstate highway. This hotel was definitely a good value because the room was a similar quality to other hotels that would charge 50% more. I recommend this Quality Inn.

For a Saturday night stay this place is very reasonably priced compared to what the other hotels in the area (Fairfield Inn and Holiday are charging. The room here is comfortable, beds are comfey, and the staff was very friendly. There is a free shuttle to the Four Winds ****** that runs until 2am on Saturday nights. Breakfast is standard hotel breakfast fare that is just like every other hotel breakfast, just ok, you eat it because it's there. Coffee is decent. Only negatives were the shower water pressure was a little on the low side, and the toilet is not a power flusher. (not biggies in my world). For what you pay it is very good, I would recommend and we will stay here again.
