This room was clean. This hotel has the worst customer service. They were no help at all. The breakfast is not worth your time. What I will say about this hotel in I’m glad we only had one quick night here. Also it’s one of those things that you just figure you get what you pay for. So it was fine for the price we paid.

We stayed a few nights to tube the river & enjoy downtown New Braunfels & Gruene. This is a great location for everything we needed. Lots of restaurants, gas stations & stores nearby. The staff were friendly & helpful. The room was clean & comfortable. The hotel seemed very secure. There’s a pay laundry room & a dining area with a TV. The free breakfast is pretty good. There were make your own TX shaped waffle makers, cereals, yogurt, oatmeal, refrigerated muffins & honey buns, bananas, apples & frozen sausage/egg & cheese croissant sandwiches. Unfortunately the only protein source & therefore the only thing I could eat was the insides of the croissant sandwiches. I felt terrible having to throw out the croissants, but that’s all there was for me. The pool was pleasant enough & the grounds were well taken care of. We would definitely stay here again next time we’re in New Braunfels.

Whatever toxic chemicals they use to clean made my nose & throat burn & I start coughing the moment we walk in. Front desk counter has plexiglass divider about 5' tall covered with self-printed signs taped all over. Lobby is not very well lit & felt eerie , just like the parking lot. Guy behind counter is rude & unpleasant. He slides over a form, tells me to initial four spots & sign. Guess I had weird look on my face bc I can't remember the last time I had so many boxes to sign at check-in. He makes a comment about me having a bad day and my lousy mood. I tell him I had a great day until I walked in here. I prepaid the room and provided deposit for incidentals when I start checking in but in rereading one of the many signs taped all the way across the plexiglass about the amount and refund for the deposit, I ask for clarification. He starts blustering about not being able to meet my “obligation” & alludes I can’t pay. Interesting, since I have prepaid room & now paid the deposit. Fed up, I tell him to cancel, I’m not staying. Once outside, my son said he was glad we left bc place looked and felt unsafe & the people looked sketchy. I’m trying to get my room refunded but property manager refuses. They held onto the deposit full 7 days like their sign said they would. Practically squeezing the nickel off a dime. Funny thing is we went across highway to another hotel. Woman at front desk was welcoming & not hiding behind protective barriers. And deposit for incidentals refunded the next morning. I guess other hotels can manage this.

Hotel was very clean and my three day stay was quiet and uneventful - which is good. However, the Internet connection was quite spotty. I had to sign on multiple times every few minutes every day of my stay. Additionally, the water pressure in the shower was very low.

I met some girlfriends to spend a few days shopping and eating German. When we checked in, the young man at the desk was great at assigning a room since we were a little early. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was more than we expected, a very nice selection. We would definitely stay here again.

rude and unapologetic!! Poor attitudes and have zero compassion!!! BOB GM doesn’t know the meaning of real customer service!! Apparently he’s heard every excuse in the book and doesn’t care about his poor reviews!! So? Here ya go BOB!!!!

Pros...Quiet, exceptionally clean, comfortable beds, micro/fridge,wonderful staff, easy on the budget, close to Gruene, nice pool and hot tub, Cons...breakfast offerings were limited but it was enough to get your day started. Our stay was for 3 nights.

Stayed here numerous times and will recommend to others. Once had an issue that I created but owner worked with me to correct. Have stayed in many Choice Hotels and this one is on par if not better in several places. Stand up owner.
