I am a long time, repeat guest. Just wanted to say, Karen, Gracie, and Autumn are such amazing hosts. I choose the DT because of their awesome hospitality. Facilities could use a bit of investment. Time for some upgrades to the rooms. The maintainance staff is fantastic when there is an issue. I would like to see a greater attention to preventative maintenence. The owners/management should see preventative maintenance and schedule for inspections as an investment into future business, rather than a cost. The current priority is clear and will likely drive away future business. I have confidence that will change, either by grrater attention to the voice of the consumer or thr choice will be made for the business by consumer spending. Better late than never for this property and the hampton property.

Don’t know where to begin. First I have to say, staff was really kind—however I was very disappointed in my stay. There on business, I had hoped for a better experience. Several things wrong with my stay. First, the room was not cleaned as should—shower had huge stain on floor of the tub& I couldn’t figure out what it was but I felt strongly that it hadn’t been cleaned as should. Next, bathroom wall of the shower looked grungy and unacceptable. You could see grime buildup in the crevices of the tile. I really should have requested a room change because I was very uncomfortable. 🥴 The hotel needs a total do over, if you ask me. I felt like jumping in the shower when I finally made it back home! Yuck! 🤮 Then as I was getting dressed on last day, I noticed a long string of hair (not my own) on the mirror—that sent me over! On one of the nights while I was trying to relax in bed, I noticed an insect flying around and couldn’t tell exactly if it was a gnat but I did try to inspect my bed for bed bugs when arrived on 1st day. Always try to remember to do this. Crucial!! You can tell that it is long overdue for some renovations. Whoever is cooking the infamous DT cookies need to be trained again because they were bout near burnt the two times I got it. Pool looked questionable and I was afraid to even attempt to get in and decided not to. Glad I did. 🥴 Just overall unpleasant with experience. Hopefully I don’t have to return anytime again. I have stayed on more than one occasion but this was a bit much.

Had dinner at the confluence restaurant and it was exceptional. Our waiter was actually the supervisor, Amanda, a remarkably kind and down-to-earth person. The chef, Cedric, even came out to inquire about the quality of the food. If he is working, you can expect some of the finest cuisine you have ever had. The service and food were both outstanding. I will definitely be returning.

The bar team is amazing: Michael, T.A., Tommy & Tracy are all total pros and fun to be around! It’s funny how many regulars this bar has for being situated in a hotel. Speaks volumes for the team members. (Get Michael to make you a Painkiller, by the way. You’ll be glad you did.)

Went in on Sunday to listen to the entertainment on the deck. Tracy was the bartender inside and was wonderful. very nice and accommodating to us!

We hosted an event at the DoubleTree and the staff there was absolutely amazing. Every single person I dealt with was friendly and accommodating. The event manager, Kelley, was so on top of things I had zero worries about the event being a success. Every wrinkle we threw at her, she handled with ease. Her staff was on point as well. Would definitely recommend anyone hosting an event at the hotel. We also stayed at the hotel during the event and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Nothing was lacking.

This hotel is in woeful need of renovation. The location is spectacular, but the hotel itself does not live up to Doubletree standards. Issues: 1. My stay was on the 5th floor (the top), and the hallway was not air conditioned. It was hot-flash inducing steamy. Gross really. 2. The bathrooms are miserably small, even for one guest. 3. The toilet in my room was so low to the ground. I have mobility issues (not enough to require a handicapped room) and getting down to and up from the toilet was downright painful. No modern toilet would be this low. 4. The shower took at least 20 minutes to warm up, no matter the time of day. And when the water finally did warm up, the hot water caused the line to sputter (in both the shower and the sink). 5. My colleague had a suite so that we could work, and there wasn't anywhere to set up a laptop to work together. While there was ample space for a small table, there was only a sofa, a side chair, a coffee table, and two end tables. Things I liked: 1. The bed was comfortable. 2. I had a Riverfront room, and the view was spectacular. 3. The hotel is decorated with a variety of information about the local history. That was very interesting. 4. The restaurant staff was very kind and helpful.
