We had a couple of nights here mid way through a fortnight on Nevis - a special treat. And it certainly was everything the pictures suggest - and much more! As there were 4 of us we were in the Sugar Mill which is really something else in terms of setting and the lush vegetation that covers it. Beds were good, everything worked fine - apart from the wifi specifically for the room for some reason, kept dropping out and then you need to connect to the general wifi instead which had weak signal in the room. But both had really fast speeds when connected if you need that sort of thing... the kids did and good news is that there's even stronger signal at the pool! Win win! Being July it's low season and maybe only one or two other guests were there with us, neither of which were using the pool so we had it effectively to ourselves - ever wondered how the other half live? Now we know! Plenty of towels at the pool and in the rooms, everything is catered for. Drinks were good and the food was nice but probably because it was low season, they didn't have everything on the menu - no lamb. But as we were there for 2 nights and they didn't have it on either night maybe we were mid way between the weekly food order? Anyway, that didn't spoil things at all. We sat under the fancy pergola in the photos for one night - looks great but maybe lunch or breakfast would be better as the main light in the roof attracts the insects of an evening. But that's the thing, you're literally in the middle of a botanical garden, half way up Mt Nevis! So do expect nature at all times! Frogs start at about 5pm and go on all night, which we found lovely. Loads of humming birds, lizards and in the morning the monkey's do their rounds. The gardens are amazing and if you are into gardening you won't know were to start. Staff are all friendly and attentive but never in your face or rushing you, very helpful throughout. It is pricey. But absolutely money well spent. Unforgettable.
