Hosts were absolutely horrible. A misunderstanding about # of beds in the room: not that big of a deal for me but then Karl knocks on the door saying the phone is for me: David has followed her with a heavy torch in his hand (it was NOT dark). Person on the phone says she doesn’t need to speak to me, she needs the receptionist, so I hand the phone back. Karl says “I don’t need to speak to you” and hangs up. David uses that as his excuse to step into me and push open the door. Pretty sure that violates privacy laws as I absolutely did not give him permission. The he kicks my dad out for sitting in a chair.

Location davvero carina e tipica! Si ha modo di entrare in una delle bellissime case stile Nuova Zelanda. La signora che gestisce la struttura è davvero un angelo, molto disponibile e pronta a supportare gli ospiti in qualsiasi problematica. La posizione è molto comoda, parcheggio gratuito in strada di fronte. Dispone sia di un salotto che di una parte esterna a disposizione degli ospiti, dove poter leggere o bere qualcosa o semplicemente farsi una chiacchierata. La colazione onesta, in linea con il tipo di struttura scelta. La camera comoda e luminosa. Se proprio dovessi trovare una piccola pecca…un pochino di polvere sui mobili. Ma a parte questa cosa, consiglio la struttura anche per diverse notti. Grazie per la professionalità e la disponibilità!!!

Around walking tours we had two stays at the Cambria. The rooms are very spacious, comfortable and very well appointed. Breakfast were delectable. The Cambria is just a few blocks from downtown Nelson where there are plenty of restaurants and bars. Above all, our hostess was very helpful and caring and so a wonderful host. We cannot recommend it highly enough!!

Lovely BnB with an attentive host. Very comfortable, with a very good breakfast. Lots of little treats (Sherry, Chocolates). Quickly resolved a minor mistake made by our travel advisors. Very good advice (suggested Mapua for return from Abel Tasman). Great en-suite room with lots of storage, good common areas, with interesting books - I enjoyed skimming through the Te Araroa book. Flexible re breakfast for our early departure to catch the Wellington ferry. Only a very short walk from Nelson centre.

We had a comfortable, 1-night stay here in Nelson. Karel made us a wonderful breakfast in the morning of delicious scrambled eggs with smoked salmon with plenty of toast, jams, cereals, fruit and yoghurt. Although we had our itinerary all sorted, Karel was very proactive helping other guests organise activities.

Such a enjoyable stay at Cambria house, Phillip and Rayma were perfect hosts, serving a delicious breakfast and such a special touch offering canapes and wine at 6pm on the veranda. We had interesting conversations and were given so many options to make the best of our time in Napier. The accomodation is wonderful, such a lovely room and comfortable bed. Highly recommended
