Amarna Luxury Beach Resort

Amarna is a little slice of heaven and you won’t want to leave once you’ve checked in. To start with, our suite (204) was just beautiful in every respect; beds were extremely comfortable and I loved the shower in my ensuite. Nothing appeared to be overlooked as far as kitchen and entertaining facilities, and Amarna is on a lovely bridal path that goes along Dutchie’s Beach and it is a short but scenic walk around to the headland to the marina, with its seafood co-ops (excellent fresh and cooked seafood) and then into the heart of Nelson Bay. Our suite (204) was very beautiful, perfect beds and he resort has one of the most beautiful lap pools I think you could find anywhere, and even if you don’t want to swim, it is beautiful simply to look at. We had made plans to dine out with friends and family during our time in Nelson Bay, but once we were in our suite, with its stunning water views, we opted to order food in so we could dine while watching the sun go down over Nelson Bay—and not waste a moment of our time at Amarna by being elsewhere. It really is that lovely, you won’t want to leave. So, if you are looking for somewhere special for a peaceful getaway and not too far from Sydney, you should definitely consider Amarna.

A really lovely and very well equipped and maintained stay. Beautiful pool and all equipment of the best quality. Well cleaned and maintained also which isn’t often the case in Australia Zenith beach and Fingal bay were lovely daytime stops. Would highly recommend

Do NOT stay here if you’re in anyway looking to have fun with a group. There’s a middle aged couple in room 402 that are permanent residents and they will completely ruin your trip. Not only was he monitoring our every movement, but the audacity to intervene if we were having a laugh or a bit of a yarn, the peeping over the divider between apartment's, the constant calls to reception to complain about the most minuscule issues like having a single friend over for dinner. NYE at 8pm he was screaming at us and I quote “you’ve had enough fun shut it down” with cut throat hand gestures over the fence. This couple was not only a problem for our group but also another family who have been visiting this resort for decades. The family staying before us had little kids who were swimming completely naked in the pool which I would assume didn’t come with any backlash given the resident in 402 is still waiting for his invitation to Epstein Island. The room we stayed in (404) had many maintenance issues as well. The living room sliding door is jammed so you’re unable to close it, the 2nd bedrooms ensuite sink has a built in plug which is broken. To drain the water, you need to hold the cap up. Lastly, the property manager WITHOUT knocking, opened and entered our room to relay some complaints from room 402 and without asking questions, assumed the complaints from room 402 were true. Absolute invasion of privacy and outright illegal.

Very high quality resort with excellent standard of fittings and furniture. The apartment is very roomy and very well finished. The outdoor space is immaculate and the views of the beach and bay are exceptional. We went for an evening walk along the beach and saw dolphins playing in the bay.
