Stirling All Suites Hotel

I agree with all the positive comments other reviewers have made about this hotel. Our room (suite) was well-designed, nicely furnished, well-stocked kitchen area, good AC, and a very comfortable bed. In fact, everything was very comfortable, and the location was excellent. You really can't go wrong here in our opinion. So then, what was the thing to note? Parking. It was a real pain in the butt for us. The hotel has a very small lot with only six vehicle spaces. Priority is given to those guests who pay more for their rooms. That's understandable. No argument with that policy. There are metered spaces on the street in front of the hotel, but you can only park for two hours and you must move your car when time's up. Parking is free before nine a.m. and after five p.m., but finding spaces is competitive. There are free street spaces but those are several blocks away and, be forewarned, may involve steep hills. In all fairness, this is more of a Nelson city issue than it is a hotel issue. Any hotel in Nelson that doesn't have its own parking lot may have this problem. If you can get past that, this hotel is a very good choice.

We loved our stay at the Stirling…our apartment was wonderful! Immaculate, tastefully decorated and the attention to detail was much appreciated. The location allowed us to bike right from the hotel, restaurants and shops within walking distance..if you get the opportunity to stay here, you will not be disappointed! We hope to return soon.
