The first stop of the Bawa Architecture Tour in Sri Lanka, 20 minutes drive from the airport. The hotel is right outside the Indian Ocean. It has a tropical feel, the rooms are super large, and the bathroom is big enough for dancing. Bawa's design emphasizes ventilation and lighting, and there is a patio between the bathroom and the room. The room window faces the swimming pool, which is 100 meters long and is said to be one of the longest swimming pools in Sri Lanka. It is quite good for a hotel designed 60 years ago to have this level.

Jetwing Lagoon is one of the classics of the famous Sri Lankan architect Geoffrey Bawa, which perfectly blends design with nature. I got up in the morning and swam 800 meters, which is equivalent to four round trips. Nice Hotel! We stayed there the last night before the resort closed down for renovation. The location is a little far away from anything so all you can do is enjoy the resort!.

The service is very good and the scenery of the hotel is beautiful. It is surrounded by lakes and the Indian Ocean. You can see the first ray of sunshine through the lake in the morning and watch the sunset on the beach in the evening.
The lunch at this hotel is also recommended, it is delicious.
