A lovely modern, recently opened six-room mid-range hotel with a small restaurant and an inviting swimming pool. Convenient to CMB. It’s fully solar-powered; we were even picked up at the airport in an electric MG. The rooms are good sized, light, airy and comfortable, with capable air conditioning. The small staff were friendly and helpful. It’s a two-minute walk to the lagoon on the east and 6 minutes walk to the ocean on the west. There’s a nearby well-known seafood restaurant, Dutch Trails, where we spent an enjoyable evening as well. We spent two nights as members of our party adjusted their circadian clocks to Sri Lanka time. Visits to the fresh fish and dry fish markets occupied one morning, and in the evening we did a touristic small boat ride at dusk in the lagoon. There was a small fee for the smiling and cheerful driver Samantha (he/him) to take us to these adventures. Overall highly recommended as a stopping point on your entry or exit from Sri Lanka.
