This was our local all over Christmas and a stones throw away from the cottage we rented for Christmas. Cosy village pub with fantastic staff and lush open fires. We didn’t eat there, we went to the Thai just up the road but the food looked lovely. Real Old English pub, perfect for winter visits. Thank you for making me and my partner feel so welcome.

Returned to have a meal at this pub having not visited it for some time. They kindly honoured a voucher for 2 main courses which we was given pre-covid. The meals were excellent and the service very good. The menu is very reasonably priced for the quality of the meals which we had, the cod and chips and a ham salad with coleslaw. We look forward to a further visit even though it is some distance away from where we live.

We stopped at the Kings Arms for lunch while travelling to our holiday accommodation. As soon as we walked in we were welcomed by friendly bar staff. The pub was very clean and had a lovely feel to it. We ordered the steak and ale pie, one with mash and veg the other with chips and peas. Oh boy, the pie was so tender, tasty and rich. The chips, mash and veg were all cooked to perfection. Wish we lived nearby so we could visit again to try other dishes. Overall friendly staff, clean pub, great food. If passing, give it a try.

We booked in for a stay between a family event and The Malvern Autumn Show. Only hotel with vacancies convenient to both. Parking is on street only so it can be a challenge in the evening (Saturday for us). However, we soon bagged a space close by. The hotel only has four rooms and being such an old building they are quirky. Floors not level and walls not square - exposed wood beams etc. Lighting, as with many hotels, not really adequate for female make up purposes. Plenty of electrical points. Initially thought the bed might be on the soft side, but actually we slept very well. Traffic noise from around 0530, but it is on the only road in town so no surprise there. As we were leaving before breakfast service began we had the in room continental option. Nice tray of cereals, croissants, fruit juice, milk carton and butter and jam. Did the job, but probably not as expensive to produce as the cooked option with no cost reduction. The pub is a good old fashioned period one. Late September and too early for the log fire - unfortunately. However, the staff are polite, efficient and friendly. Standard of cleanliness is very good. Vacated tables wee cleared and cleaned quickly. Food menu looked good, but did not see anyone eating and evening service stops at 8pm. Closing time is swiftly enforced allowing guests time to sleep quietly. We will certainly put this hotel in our places to stay book and come back if back in the area.

The kings arms is a fantastic establishment and has been running by the current landlady Wendy and landlord for 17yrs. They definitely are getting the local and county attention for friendly and great service. They have 4 current guest rooms that are adaptable to families with I imagine some notice. Local attractions near by they are truly a good old English pub / restaurant with a log fire and dogs on lead’s welcome and gardens to the rear . *5 well deserved all the way and the bar staff are superb and friendly Thanks guys and girls
