I was fortunate enough to spend an afternoon, evening and night at this exquisite and truly amazing home stay during the end of a 2 week tour of south India. I wholeheartedly support earlier highly positive reviews. Rooms spotless, very comfortable and the tranquility of the location ensuring a great and peaceful sleep. Visual provides a unique, detailed and truly unforgettable mini tour with a pole boat ride to finish off. The food- veg an non veg - was simply incredible. The only downside to my stay, was having to leave. If you have the chance to visit and stay in this fantastic home stay I suggest that you grab that chance as it will enhance your visit to this incredible country.

Thank you for a peaceful and authentic stay on the banks of the Pamba River. We were attentively looked after by Papa, Vishi and Chicoo. Your homestay glows in beautiful proportions in the colours of marigolds! Meals were hearty, with lunch served on the back terrace with views onto a paddy field. We enjoyed great walks at sunrise on the backwaters and at sunset, which was 3km to the temple in Ambalapuzha. Loved all the birdsong around Ayana. Very good value for money.

If you like a homestay that exudes peace and tranquility, this is it. Situated right on the water, the morning and afternoon light is simply magical. Inside, there is beautiful artwork on the walls that give this place a lot of character. Inside the spotless room, the bed was the most comfortable bed I've slept on in a long time--and because the building is surrounded by fields and on a river, the sounds of nature lulled me to sleep at night and I slept soundly. The food (dinner and breakfast) is absolutely delicious and impeccably presented. The hosts take a lot of pride in welcoming guests--they were absolutely kind and charming. I dream of the day when I can return. Thank you for a wonderful stay. I highly recommend Ayana's.

Nice and very clean homestay just by the water and next to rice fields. Had both dinner and breakfast at the homestay and it was delicious. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I slept really well and would definitely use it again if traveling at the backwaters.

Salle de bain insalubre avec un filet d'eau froide, des draps tâchés, le jardin avec des détritus partout. Pas un endroit pour poser les affaires dans la chambre, juste 2 petits tabouret en guise de table de nuit. Personnel sympathique et nouriture dans la moyenne. Je déconseille.

Je pense qu'il y a eu un jour un homestay agréable. Aujourd'hui l'Ayana's Homestay est dégradé, les extérieurs ne sont plus entretenus, dans le "jardin" il y a des chaises cassés, des déchets, les salles de bains sont dans leurs jus... L'endroit ne mérite pas qu'on y vienne

Absolutely fabulous place to stay. We arrived by motorboat and were greeted by the family with drinks and warm welcomes. Rooms are comfortable and have views of the backwaters. The home cooked lunch and dinner were wonderful and breakfast set outside a real treat.

A beautiful location right beside the water. Lovely building with history. I was made to feel very welcome and the food was excellent. Travelling solo and being the only tourist around (not chugging by on a houseboat) I felt very self-conscious at first, but was made to feel at home by the family. I was offered boat rides (motor or non-motor) and kayaking. Highlights were wandering the village watching the birds and seeing village life unfold and kayaking silently through the smaller channels. Plus, the food was excellent - they WhatsApp'd a menu in advance.
