We stayed at the Gardenia earlier this year, and our stay couldn’t have been better. Mohammed‘s staff were friendly and attentive, the location is excellent, and the view from the roof terrace is unparalleled in Giza (it really is as good as the pictures show). On top of that, we accidentally left behind a sweater that held sentimental value. It was an ordeal, with the courier companies being less than helpful, but Mohammed graciously persevered, and made sure that the sweater was returned to us – an act of kindness above and beyond. Thank you, Mohammed and Gardenia. We will be back!

The view is great even better on the terrace where you can have a breakfast, lunch looking at the pyramids and the sfinx. We had also a room with a view to the pyramids and it was very nice even it was a little bit louder but i don't think you can avoid the noise in Cairo especially in Giza. The stuff is friendly and helpful. The manager even helped us with some tours which in my opinion can be improved. I found them on fast forward and i understood why. These tours includes visits to papyrus "museums", cotton "factory", perfume "museums" and so on which take time from the real objectives. All these "museums" and "factories" are just shops with high prices and very insistent salesman. If you go with the flow and get there prepare to bargain for each dollar or just refuse them for 100 times. If you're not interested in these you have to convince the guide that you really don't want to visit them because he asked us several times if we're sure. We tried for the last two and didn't manage :). As a conclusion: good and clean accommodation with a great view over the pyramids and the sfinx, helpful people. About the tours you have to be firm on the position about the itinerary if you don't want "museums" and "factories"

Had a horrible night because of this accommodation! They asked my partner and I for a marriage certificate because we looked/are muslim. We explained to them that this rule only applies to Egyptians and that we were not. They refused to let us in although we had paid and it was the middle of the night and we just needed some rest. We waited to see if they could find us a place to stay, but they promised no place would accept us and even joked slightly about it. The receptionist told me the owner would promise me that if I would find a hotel that'd let me stay he would compensate me every penny. After that a large group of tourists arrived. The receptionist asked us to leave the reception area while we were trying to sort out a stay for the night (mind you we arrived around midnight and it was already 4am). The reason for leaving the area was so we would not disturb "tourists" as if we were any less. Racism all throughout our experience overall. Do not recommend the place at all!!

Stayed here for a week while we waited for our Visa's to India and what an amazing stay it has been. The staff are fantastic, they have helped to arrange taxis, printing, food deliveries, they even decorated the bedroom with balloons the day of my husbands Birthday while we went on a private organised tour of the pyramids with them. The views from our room and the hotel are spectacular... each night you see the light show on the pyramids (about 1km away) for free. Sun sets have been amazing from both the rooftop and our room window. The rooms are clean, spacious (you pay for what you get) the beds are extremely comfortable and the warm thick quilt is most welcome in January's chilly weather. Mohammad and his staff have been not only helpful but so friendly, we have danced as the sun has set behind the pyramids on the roof top with the beautiful ladies who cook and clean, eaten breakfast late due to appointments without problem, had the Doctor the come to us for PCR testing and had any food we could imagine delivered to our hands. It has truly been a wonderful stay, we came to Cairo to get a visa and have left vowing to come back just to be able to stay here again.

Worst place i have ever been. First of all there are no rooms with pyramids view, regardless they claim on booking that they have one. Second thing is - they ask you immediately to cancel your booking online and you will sort out everything on spot. In that case we lost Genius discount, and we dont have proof to complain on Booking. Yes, its our fault but we were tired from the flight, it was late in the evening and we didnt think about the "consequences" of canceling the reservation. They claimed "Free airport transport", then on the last day they said "well, its free only for picking you up, not dropping you off", but on *********** it doesnt say specifically, just that the airport transport is included in the price. Dirty rooms and corridors. Disgusting kettle for coffee. They even asked us to give them back because they didnt have enough for other rooms. I assume if we were not in the room, they would have entered without our consent. No safe box. Bland breakfast. The staff behaved like they have never seen people from another countries. Everytime we were going in or out they were staring like we are aliens. The fake pyramids view rooms made us make the reservation. Never ever again.

Habitaciones con vistas a las pirámides. Simplemente espectaculares.

The best thing was the view of the pyramids from the room. The hotel is actually not too close to the Giza necropolis but the view is due to the hotel being on the upper floors of a multi-storied building. The reception (and the room I stayed in) were on the 13th floor. The restaurant is on the terrace a couple of floors above, and the views are really good from there. The room was of medium size. Running hot water was available. The only problem I had was that when the room was booked, they mentioned many things which were not there in the room. It is okay to just provide a few things.. I told the manager to just not to over-advertise. Otherwise, I had a pleasant stay.
