Hotel in a tall appartment building on 11+ floor with a beautiful terrace on top. Great views of streets of Giza and the Giza necropolis with the 3 largest pyramids ever built. The room with a double bed was small but enough for 2 people. We had a small balcony with the views of the pyramids, bathroom was very small with a shower. Towels and soap provided. Room had a small window and balcony door, small fridge, TV, a desk and furniture to put jackets and other things in there. Everything looked and felt clean. We were given water bottles every morning together with a nice breakfast (salami, eggs, bread, tea, coffee, juice, yogurt, and more). The personnel was helpful and tried to accomodate our trip questions/requests. We paid for 2 tours they organised (a nice selection), but if needed, they arranged for a tuk-tuk trip to the Giza pyramids which were 15 mins away by tuk-tuk. By walk the ticketing office of the pyramids was about 30-40 mins away, but we only walked to the enclosing walls of the whole complex. The walk was interesting, busy and we had to be careful to avoid cars and everything else. The traffic is an organised chaos, only rule is to avoid the others. On our walk, we bought some cakes in one of the pattiserie shops. The streets around the hotel-appartment building is noisy, dirty and crazy busy untill who knows when. Honking and shouting can be heard even up in the room but not terribly distructing. We stayed 5 nights, so the shuttle from the airport was included. The drive took about an hour. On the way back to aiport, we had to pay 20 USD. Great driving though and nice chatting! There are many shops right around the hotel, but you have to be careful to avoid people coming up to you and trying to help you or pull you into their bazaars... We did not feel threatened or in danger, but if somebody comes up to you saying "you look like an Egyptian", just walk. They want to sell you something. All in all, the room, the personnel, the tours and tuk-tuks were great, location AMAZING! Thank you to everybody for their help!
