Very nice hotel. Service was excellent. We had an early flight to catch and they provided us with tea and toast at 3.30am. Decoration of hotel and bar has a traditional Irish feel. Would highly recommend.

Lovely hotel, our only issue was the noise from a wedding that was booked. If we’d have known we’d have chosen a different hotel as it was so loud from our room and we’d just booked a night to chill out. In the morning one staff member at breakfast wasn’t helpful at all when we asked to confirm if our booking included breakfast and he came across as rude.

We had our civil ceremony on Monday this week in the Ardboyne hotel and I could not recommend this hotel more. We had 12 adults and 4 kids for a meal after in a private room, the staff were amazing, I was dealing with Jo on emails and she looked after everything beforehand, nothing was a hassle. The room was beautiful and we had personalised menu’s, all just that extra little touch. The food was lovely and as a bonus we got some really fab pictures on the grounds out the back in the sunshine. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay or visit or also to get married there as it’s a beautiful venue.

Great play and stay golf packages. We chose Royal Tara golf course, ten minutes from the hotel, and there are other offers on courses if equal quality. The triple room had three beds affording us a good night's sleep!

We recently celebrated our wedding at this wonderful hotel, and I honestly can't say enough good things about the experience. From the moment we started planning to the day itself, we felt completely supported and cared for by the staff—especially our wedding coordinator, Jo. Her kindness, understanding, and genuine dedication stood out from the very beginning. Jo took the time to really understand our situation and helped us create the wedding we truly wanted. Nothing ever felt too much—she made the whole process feel so much easier, and we’ll always be grateful for her. A huge thank you also goes to Kealy and Darcie, who were absolute stars throughout our stay. Their warmth and attention made everything feel personal and relaxed. The night porter on duty during our wedding night (whose name I sadly didn’t catch) also went above and beyond—so helpful and friendly in the quiet hours. And the lovely woman who served us breakfast each morning deserves a special mention as well—always smiling, welcoming, and couldn’t do enough for me and my family. The hotel itself has a real irish character and charm that’s hard to come by—and what truly sets it apart is the team behind it. The staff work seamlessly together, creating an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality that’s hard to put into words. It’s the kind of place that feels like home the moment you walk in. If you're considering a venue for your wedding, I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. It gave us memories we’ll treasure forever, and that’s thanks to the incredible people who work there.

I was persuaded by my wife because of my tiredness as I suffer from health issues to stay at this hotel on our way home to Carrickfergus Northern Ireland. I don't know if it was because we were from Northern Ireland or if I got this hotel on a bad day, but if you're thinking of visiting it from.Northern Ireland forget it. My nightmare began when I arrived in Tuesday 1st July 2025. I had told them that on trivago they were dearer by 10 euro and I wanted to give them the business and I was looking at several hotels and ringing them. They told me to book on their website and they would beat all offers by 10 euro as on their website and it would be taken of bill. When I arrived my wife and I got a very rude dark haired lady who refused to acknowledge my conversation and demanded the higher price of €119:00. The lady also told me I wasn't getting the walk in Shower I had requested on account of my legs being restricted mobility wise from an illness I suffer, alongside other medical problems. Her colleague then stepped in to counter her agreeing that I had spoken to one of her colleagues However on being allocated the walk in shower it was a disabled toilet. I didn't object to this but my window looked out to what can only be described as a wall as high as a prison that needed lights to see . Rev Caroline my wife and carer then complained to get us a transfer that wasn't a walk in shower, but had a nicer view and was more welcoming. After coming out of the room we got a very nice bar man who said he would put our snacks on our room originally 112, but which was changed to 104. When I went to sign for 104 after he had left and another colleague arrived I found out that they had cancelled my credit when changing rooms and were demanding immediate payment, when I didn't have my card with me. The bar staff were lovely, but it seemed to be this reception and as a Minister I don't like being told something, to be treated like I'm a liar and insisted on paying €119: instead of €110:00. It's not the €10:00 difference it's the principle of the truth. I really do feel from the beginning there was treatment given because of where I came from or possibly because I was a Minister of Religion. I also had to request extra Pillows on account of my neck and needing support with the pains I suffer from. The Pillows were very thin and a very nice young Night Porter duly obliged, but the Pillows shouldn't have been that thin. The breakfast was good and the staff who served us really friendly and very dedicated to making sure my dietry and my wife's dietry needs were provided for ,really lovely ladies, totally opposite to what we had experienced. from Reception. After breakfast and because my legs needed attended to and I needed rest I requested a late checkout to catch up on some sleep. and was charged €10:00 to check out at 1pm not 12 mid day. I explained later to their reception again that I had problems and didn't think I should pay the €10:00 given my treatment f
