AC Hotel National Harbor Washington, DC Area

The stay was great ran into a little problem in the beginning but it was taken care of. Will stay again hotel was close to everything. Great Location.

This is my favorite stay-cation location. This is my fifth stay at this location and they never disappoint. My only regret is not getting the name of the front desk staff from Friday to Sunday they were stellar. Everyone was kind, courteous and professional. The win asking for a room with a view and they delivered. :)

We had a great view of the wheel. The bed was comfortable and clean. The shower was hot. We stayed in room 713. The AC would turn off with a loud CLUNK which made sleeping a wee bit difficult, but the hotel and the staff are wonderful. We could walk to Rosas and downtown, which was a huge plus. Breakfast is not included and neither is parking, which was a disappointment for the cost.

Be careful booking several days. If you have to cancel half way through you're charged an extra day anyway. Also if you book at National harbor hotel, you'll be paying 24 dollars more a day in parking garage. No pool or tub to bathe in only a shower. So if you're not a shower only person, look elsewhere. After walking everywhere I really wanted to soak in a tub, pool or hot tub. The area in National harbor was nice and everything is close. Also the only have a few Queen size rooms with 2 beds.

I held my 60th birthday party at this site. The sales office was not prepared for planning. Hotel entertainment license expired so dj was not allowed. Room block was not riverview for all guest as promised. I had to redo my contract several times for corrections.

This was the least favorite of my Marriott experiences. Maybe my expectation for the Marriott brand was too high being that this is a 3 star hotel. There was a visible stain on the fitted sheet. The sheet was immediately replaced. Shortly thereafter, I discovered a stain on the top sheet which was never replaced (after requesting twice), multiple stains on the duvet, and a loose toilet seat. I asked about parking and was directed to a municipal garage next door. However, staff did not disclose information about day passes that allowed in/out access (good information to know up front when asking). I happen to inquire a second time in the presence of a manager. Nor was the employee knowledgeable about member benefits. Later, the bar was crowded with a private party, so we weren’t able to enjoy that amenity. Staff was friendly, but also exhibited an ‘oh well’ attitude. I will say the room was properly appointed and appeared clean. The hotel is in a great location and the balcony was a great place to view the Christmas tree with fireworks as the backdrop.

When you get your arrivals for the day, you should definitely pay better attention to your member tiers. A titanium elite is definitely going to write a review on how their guest was treated. I can’t believe an assistant general manager got to this status and didn’t know how to accommodate a room with a simple bloody towel and a defective tv. My sister was offered no solutions to this but a business card and a “I’ll call you to let you know what I can do for you”. Just because the reservation was for one night doesn’t mean you get to ignore guests request. Now this incident cost a hefty review and lost of a member and their family. Terrell Johnson needs additional training and to also know that he is 100% capable of satisfying the guests needs and doesn’t need to check with anyone. Even a front desk agent learns that.

My friend and I stayed here while attending a show at MGM for one night. We chose it because the price was reasonable compared to other choices. The hotel is close to everything and has a great view. We were able to watch fireworks from the hotel and the Christmas show. The rooms are basic, as others mentioned there is no closet but there is a place to hang your clothes and there are a few small drawers. I loved that the sink was separate from the toilet (we were two girls getting ready)and it had tons of space to put things, versus other hotels. I would have preferred another mirror in the bedroom area, and a magnifying mirror. There also was no clock in the room, which I would expect even at a basic hotel room. I did not like how the toilet was. There is a barn door in between the toilet and sink area but it does not close completely, there is a gap. So if one person is at the sink, there is no privacy for a person using the toilet. Shower was fine, but not well lit. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful and the beds were comfy. We did not hear a ton of road noise, the only noise we heard was kids running in the hallway and it only smelled a little of **** much less than most hotels do in the area. The breakfast was $12.95 which is a great price. It was a "European Breakfast" so no bacon and eggs but plenty of other food to fill you up.

Service in hotel and front desk are very good. Bathroom set up is not private. It is just part of a sleeping room. Good location. Parking garage super close to hotel. I liked it better than Westin at National Harbor except for bathroom set up.
