Hotel Shiki No Yakata Nasu

I made a reservation late the night before. Room Takumi A. It's a great inn because you can make a reservation online just before or on the day. The food is delicious, and the quality of the hot spring is not bad. However, there are a few things that bother me, so I'm giving it one star less. Maybe it's because it was a last-minute reservation, so it's not a very good room. I'd like to rate the room, food, etc. separately. I've only written about the negative aspects, but overall it's not bad. [Room Takumi A] - The ceiling is low and oppressive - The sofa looks cheap. - The window has no blackout curtains (it was bright and I woke up at 6am. I wanted to oversleep) - The view from the terrace and window was of the mountain behind the hotel - The amenities were average - Shampoo, etc. are DHC - The hotel's indoor clothing comes in regular and small sizes, and the small size has a red tag on the part that can be seen from outside. If you are wearing the hotel clothing without the red tag, people will know "Is that guy fat and therefore unable to wear the S size?" (Persecution complex of a fat person perhaps?) - Separate pajamas are provided - The hair dryer is a high-end Panasonic model - The bath in the room is made of cypress, but the water is brown, so the tub is stained brown. Relatively hot water [French food] ・Seats like semi-private rooms ・Furniture is a little cheap, like the rooms ・Menu is tacky ・Drink menu is also tacky (not a menu with a cover, but laminated paper) ・Food itself is stylish ・Taste is good, and they use a lot of local ingredients [Japanese food] ・Walk to the sister hotel in front of the hotel ・There seems to be something like a bench coat at the entrance of the hotel for walking ・It's like a semi-private room at night, and an open area in the morning ・Staff is not as friendly as the French staff ・As expected, the menu and list are tacky ・Taste is good and stylish [Overall hotel] ・When I tried to leave the hotel at 8:50am, there was no one at the front desk (there was a phone with a sign asking them to call, so I called but waited about 5 minutes) ・Souvenir shop is small. Drinks are alcohol and dairy products. There is a separate vending machine for bottled tea, etc. ・You check in while sitting on the sofa ・I think the hotel staff are generally well trained [Public bath] I didn't go there so I don't know

We stayed as a couple. The inn has a relaxing atmosphere, and the indoor bath in the room is hot spring water. It is available 24 hours a day, and the room is very nice. (The only downside is that the boiler/motor that keeps the hot spring water running 24 hours a day is a little noisy...) The French course meal that we were looking forward to was excellent. Each dish had a different expression, and there was a lot of variety, so we never got bored. The people who served us were polite and paid attention to even the smallest details, and we were very satisfied with our stay.
