Courtyard Houston NASA/Clear Lake

We found this a great location to visit NASA as the hotel is right in the heart of it all, though from Houston International airport was about an hour away (depending on traffic) Travis, on reception was friendly and polite and would go the extra mile for you. However, the downside to our stay was the bar/dining area which over our four night/five day period was served by sour miserable people. We would be the only ones patiently standing at the bar, be ignored for 10 minutes and then finally with a lot of huffing and puffing we would be served. On one occasion we waited for 15 minutes to order breakfast. No one else was there, again ignored so left and headed for McDonalds which had friendly service, and an astronaut statue out front to take a picture of. We preferred to have a coffee in our room or venture out for a meal than be subject to such rudeness and feeling unwelcome. Our room, though comfortable, the bathroom wall, behind the bathroom door had a big hole in it from the door handle. There was no door stop to protect the wall nor even hold the door open. This may have been a recent occurrence, however, was noted.

The rooms were nice. The first day we the toilet malfunctioned and they quickly repaired the broken part so we did not have to change rooms. The hotel lacked basic hotel amenity information in the room which is a pain. No free breakfast & breakfast options were lacking as the grill was broken making several options not available. Bagels appeared to be an option per the display case but they were out of plain bagels and plain cream cheese before 8am on a Tuesday. Slight improvements and I would have rated a 5.

This hotel very nicely accommodated our group's visit to the space center. Sizeable rooms, great gathering area downstairs, and very friendly staff all around. Elevators are a bit slow, but with only 4 floors the wait is never unbearably long. Overall a great experience and would revisit if I'm fortunate enough to tour the space center again.

A very conveniently located hotel within about 10 to 15 minute walk to Space Center Houston. Being able to walk there saves on parking and negotiating the busy roads. Everything with the hotel is brand new and the room (332) was spotless. Beds were very comfortable. Although breakfast is not complimentary, there is a bistro which serves breakfast in the morning and Starbucks coffee. Breakfasts are pretty good and the bistro offers casual fare in the evening. I really liked the location of the hotel, lots of places to eat within walking distance and convenient if you’re visiting the NASA complex. Definitely recommended!

Great location right across the street from the Johnson Space Center. You can just walk over using the crosswalk unless you want to pay to park at NASA. Check in was smooth and the room was clean. Right next door is a chick-fil- a where we had breakfast at so I cannot comment on the hotel food. No issues, great location while visiting NASA.

This was not our first time staying here so I am comparing to previous experiences. Two things: 1) plumbing was backed up, I showered with water coming up to my ankles, 2) terrible service, the gentleman at breakfast clearly did not want to be there. To make matters worse, We found that we had to be extra pleasant to him and extra apologetic to get any service. Have you ever heard such a thing? Where the customer is playing extra nice for poor service. These two things really did not make our day. This is too bad because we never had these experiences before. Management, Please do not let these type situations bring down the hotel.

I just stayed for the last week and it was probably the least Marriott hotel I have ever stayed at. Checked into a King Room on the 2nd floor directly across from the Ice Machine and elevator. Called and asked to be moved. Got sorry we are all booked for the night but will call you tomorrow to move you, never happened. Upon check in they ask you if you want your room cleaned daily or every other day. I select daily. Next day return to my room after 6pm to find nothing done. Call down to the desk and am told "Oh we have you every other day", I correct them and ask for new linens and towels. Ok We'll bring them right up. 2 hours later nothing. The next day half a cleaning, ice bucket left full of old water and room half cleaned. Day three, no service at all!!! After three days I give up. I don't recommend this Marriott at all, granted it has a prime location but they do not hold the Marriott standards. For almost $600 this place was Very disappointing!!!

Nice hotel and very clean. Drinks and food was very expensive and no free coffee in the lobby in the mornings. Since they only clean your room every other day we had to ask for extra coffee packs. Which they happily gave us. It’s a good choice if you visit JSC or the area around.
