Locale the Gulch - Nashville

We arrived at the Locale the Gulch ( now the Mint House Nashville) on July 25th, 2025. The first issue we ran into was the entrance to the building, which is through the garage for some reason. As we walked up to the door, the smell of garbage and urine made a terrible first impression and made the space feel neglected and unsanitary. There were strange stains throughout the garage and I can only assume some of it was from people letting their dogs relieve themselves right outside the entrance door (see photo with blue wall). Once we did get into our suite, I Immediately noticed the dirty condition of the floors in the small kitchen area. Absolutely filthy, I took a paper towel, wiped a small corner and it came up black with dirt and bits of food - Clearly no one bothered to clean properly before our arrival. It was disgusting and unacceptable, we considered leaving and staying elsewhere but it was late and we were tired. If basic hygiene was not being taken care of, it makes me wonder what else was being neglected. The walls in the kitchen were also dirty and had not been cleaned in a while, and the carpet in the walk in closet had all sorts of random stains. Then there was also the black mold in the shower. This place was so dirty that I had to find a nearby convenience store to by Lysol wipes just to make sure some of the high traffic areas were disinfected. After a text or two to the management team, they did send someone back the next day to do a proper clean. The shower still had black mold along the base, but the cleaners did a decent job getting all the dirt off the floor. The pool and exercise area were fantastic. Lots of seating spaces and several televisions you can sit and watch while lounging and there was a BBQ area and a hot tub for those coolers days/nights. At the end of our trip we had a late flight out so I requested to check out an hour or two late. Management told me it would be $150.00 US for 3 hours, which is ridiculous so we declined. The location of the building is great, the pool is perfect but it is unfortunate that they take zero pride in the cleanliness of their garage entrance and the suites because this place could be a gold mine. If every travelling to Nashville again I definitely would not stay here.

1 bed apartment is next to an 8 lane motorway - soooo noisy !! It’s like torture trying to sleep …..and then the garbage truck turns up at 3am every night …so if you have managed to get to sleep by then you are sure to be woken up at that point !!! The blinds are see through black mesh and so the light is constantly streaming in too. Absolute nightmare. Only upside was that the bed was large and comfortable - AVOID this place. I complained to the management several times but no compromise offered - they really don’t care that they are misleading people with their description.

Strong recommendation Great experience in a very convenient apartment with good amenities including a very good gym, a large pool area at the rooof of the building and a walking distance to the city center.

This place worked out great for our family! Nice location. The space was clean and comfortable. Will definitely be back.

Everyone staying there was very friendly. Gym was fantastic - better than any hotel gym I've ever experienced. Location, restaurants and vibe excellent.

A nice apartment but a bit worn. A nice apartment but a bit worn and poorly cleaned. Unfortunately, the highway outside was very disturbing, lots of traffic all day long.
