Mizuno Ryokan

My husband and I stayed here with our Labrador. The building certainly has a sense of history, but the rooms are clean and we were grateful to be able to have dinner in our room. The specialty, sea bream shabu-shabu, was very delicious. There may not be many inns these days that offer such good value for money. Breakfast is served in the dining room, but dogs are allowed. There is an elevator in the building, but the first floor is a parking lot, so you will need to use the stairs to get to the second floor where the front desk is. Please be aware of this if you plan to use the inn.

Apparently it was founded in the Keio era. Located on the Seto Inland Sea's Okazaki coast, the ocean can certainly be seen from the guest rooms and the large public bath. From the outside, it is an old inn. Inside, the lobby is dim and cluttered. I think they should change the layout a bit. The part-time worker was polite, but it sounded like an AI was talking. I wish he would speak more naturally. The guest rooms were fine, but the refrigerator was a type that is rare these days, and there were a few bottles of soft drinks and alcohol (also not common these days). The large public bath was a bucket of "Kerorin". It's rare. The dressing room was strangely designed, with a few steps separating the sink and the luggage storage area. Dinner was served in the room, and they boast sea bream dishes. We had fresh seafood, which was pretty average. We were grateful that pets were allowed, and they don't treat pets differently from humans, so we were happy to be able to walk around the building normally as long as we put a leash on them. However, there are no pet supplies provided, but there is a separate charge. I think it would be nicer if they could at least provide some tableware.
