The location is very safe near Castel dell'Ovo, with beautiful views. Transportation is also very convenient! The host is very nice, highly recommended!

We have stayed in Palazzo Chiatamone for 5 nights and it is highly recommended. The room is spacious although the shower tray is a little bit tight. It is closed to seashore, a convenient location with lot of restaurants. Some major attractions are within walking distance. The manager, Caesar, is very helpful and gave us a lot of useful information. All other staffs are very nice and friendly too. The elevator is very small, which may be a problem for large luggage. This is not unique since most historic buildings in Naples has the same issue. Overall, we feel very comfortable to stay here.

Convenient location . A spacious room. Windows go out to the inner courtyard where air conditioners and generators are standing. Grid is not available.

找這個酒店花了點時間，因為真正入口是在3樓，大家看到第1幅圖門牌62就是進酒店的地方，第2幅圖那個小小的電梯是可以拖行李上去的，人走樓梯上去。前台小姐姐説這個酒店有700多年的歷史，是受保護的，所以不能做修改。酒店裡的設施不錯，早飯品種豐富，可坐花園裡吃早飯。房間設施也不錯，非常安靜。除了進門外的環境不太理想外，酒店還是值得推薦的。

This hotel is a gem! The rooms are impeccably clean and stylishly designed, with a sea-facing balcony that offers breathtaking ocean views. Anna, the staff member, is exceptionally friendly and attentive, making every guest feel warmly welcomed. We recently stayed at the Hotel Royal Continental in Naples from January 7 to January 9, 2025, and our overall experience was very positive. Location & Safety The hotel is located in one of the safest and most touristic areas of Naples, right on Via Partenope, facing the sea and Castel dell'Ovo. Naples, as a city, is still evolving into a true tourist destination. The city is making significant improvements to attract more visitors, and you can feel that transition happening. This particular area where the hotel is located feels very safe, thanks to continuous police presence. We saw officers patrolling on foot and by car at all hours of the day and night, which gave us peace of mind. The neighborhood is also filled with excellent restaurants offering a wide range of quality food at reasonable prices. Of course, not every place is great, but there are many good options within walking distance. Additionally, the historic center and most major tourist attractions are within walking distance from the hotel. You can take a leisurely stroll and reach the main sights in under an hour. Room & Comfort The seafront location of the hotel is outstanding. The view from our room was beautiful, and we loved opening the panoramic window to let in the fresh sea breeze in the morning and evening. It’s a wonderful way to start and end your day. The room itself was comfortable and well-maintained, with a level of luxury comparable to a 4-star European hotel. However, it's important to note that European hotel standards are different from those in the U.S.. By American standards, this hotel would be closer to a 3-star property. Despite this, the housekeeping staff did a great job cleaning the room daily and replacing towels. Service & Atmosphere The hotel staff is professional and polite, but interactions felt a bit robotic and mechanical. It seemed like they were following routines rather than making genuine connections with guests. That said, room cleanliness was good, and we appreciated the attention to detail in that regard. One thing that stood out is the hotel’s nostalgic 1950s vibe. The hotel seems proud of its mid-century charm, which they promote through signs and advertisements around the property. If you enjoy that type of retro atmosphere, you’ll appreciate this hotel. Breakfast Experience The breakfast at the hotel was excellent. The dining room overlooks the sea, which makes for a lovely breakfast setting. There are several breakfast stations with a wide variety of options, and the food quality was great. Waiters clean the tables and take care of guests throughout breakfast service, which adds a nice touch. We were very satisfied with the overall breakfast experience. Final Thoughts Overall, Hotel Royal Continental is a solid choice for staying in Naples. The location is its biggest strength, offering stunning views, proximity to restaurants, and easy access to the historic center. it provides a comfortable and memorable experience with beautiful sea views and a nostalgic atmosphere. Would we stay here again? Yes, for the views, location, and breakfast!
