La Playa Beach & Golf Resort, a Noble House Resort

We just spent four wonderful days at La Playa Beach & Golf Resort in Naples, Florida. This was our first visit, and we chose the resort based on its stellar reviews. We were not disappointed! In fact, we were absolutely blown away by the experience. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the resort’s beautiful facilities, our well-appointed room, the incredible beachfront location, and most of all, the exceptional service provided by every member of the staff. This five-star resort truly lived up to its reputation. Our room featured a stunning balcony overlooking the beach. Although the beach technically has public access, it felt incredibly private since there’s no nearby public parking, so it was essentially enjoyed only by resort guests. We made the mistake of dining in downtown Naples on a couple of nights, only to realize that the resort’s own restaurant, BALEEN, was phenomenal, and nothing we found in town could compare. From what a local told us, there are only three beachfront dining spots in Naples, and La Playa is one of them. The food was outstanding, beautifully presented, and paired with unbeatable views. The service was every bit as impressive, undoubtedly five-star quality. As for the beach itself, it was stunning. The sand was soft and clean, the water was warm with a gorgeous turquoise hue, and the entire setting was serene and relaxing. We genuinely didn’t want to leave. We’ve discovered a true gem in Naples and fully intend to make this our yearly retreat.

At the end of July we returned from a 20 night vacation at La Playa in Naples. We only originally booked for 6 nights, but we absolutely fell in love. The charm, facilities and location. The hotel is not so large that we got to know people and staff and felt part of the place. Our memorable and remarkable holiday was made possible by a number of members of staff: 1. Claude - his smile was infectious every day and I always enjoyed chatting with him. 2. Michael - Front desk, thoroughly professional and I always enjoyed chatting with him. 3. Vinny - Tiki Bar. He always had a smile and his service was of a very high standard. 4. Nik, Reception Manager - highest level of service. He made us feel a valued customer and he was a very interesting person to chat to. 5. Diane - Concierge. Very personable and gave us some fantastic recommendation for both lunch and dinner. The last person absolutely made our holiday. Currently the hotel is not perfect, it is still getting over the back to back hurricanes and for a five star hotel there are areas that should be looked at. But, one person truly made our holiday, Wenderson the reception manager. I cannot speak highly enough of him. I work in the service industry myself, and I am aware of how difficult is is to be at the top of your game all of the time. This gentleman is exceptional, he was polite, friendly, extremely efficient, but most of all he listened to the customers, and I truly believe he wanted them to have a special time. He went to great lengths to make this happen for us. I hope Noble House know how lucky they are to have him in their business. He’s certainly is a credit to them. Just a small mention of the actual facilities at the hotel. It you are wanting ocean view rooms, this hotel it literally on Vanderbilt beach. The pool area is stunning, you have a choice of four pools, with a Tiki bar and a very good restaurant on site Baleen, You really do have everything you could want, lastly my daughter loved the fire pits for toasting marshmallows. Thank you to all the staff at La Playa for our amazing vacation, and we look forward to seeing you all again next summer. My wife wants to come for Christmas! We may see you sooner than you think! The positives: This hotel has a lot of charm. The location is great- right on the beach. We stayed in the beach house and the rooms were comfortable and clean. The pools and landscaping are beautiful. The bartenders and waiter/waitress staff are awesome. The onsite restaurant, Baleen, is delicious and probably has the best beachside dining available in Naples. The tiki bar and beachside dining options are good, expensive - but to be expected. ( $20 drinks / $25 sandwiches) The negatives: If you are comparing this place to other 5 star resort experiences, you will be disappointed. Expect Hampton Inn in terms of guest room and in room amenities. Internet is not included, Coffee machine is a Keurig, no bedside outlets. They do not have a good control over their mini bar system- when we arrived snacks were open, wine/items appeared to be missing and even though I called to report at check in- I was charged for it upon checking out. It isn’t really a kid friendly place ( maybe by design). They don’t have any planned kid activities or included beach or pool items like other 5 stars so adjust expectations and plan accordingly. Tips: Stop at Publix or Target on your way in to scoop up some basics or order Instacart delivery. They don’t even give you waters in the room so unless you’d like to pay $9 for a bottle of water to make your morning coffee, bring your own. Take a photo of your minibar snack tray and fridge upon arrival. Make restaurant reservations, places book up for dinner. Bring your own blow dryer.

I was traveling to the area for a conference and was lucky enough to stay at La Playa. My trip started with a very friendly and helpful front desk experience with Claude. Claude started my trip on a good note by answering all my questions, being friendly and by prioritizing my experience. People like that are hard to find at hotels. My room was clean and as advertised. The restaurant also had good service and food. I’d love to come back one day.

I really enjoyed my time at LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort. The beachfront lanai opens directly up to the Gulf of Mexico for beautiful sunsets and easy access to the beach. I also had two excellent meals at Baleen, the on-site restaurant. Wenderson was attentive and ensured that my family and I had a wonderful time at the resort, which he accomplished. I look forward to returning soon.

Fernando was amazing and the whole staff was so accommodating and made our experience so amazing! The attention we received was phenomenal and they kept everyone on schedule and taken care of! The little boutique shop was so cute! Few of us walked out with some beautiful bracelets!
