Embassy Suites by Hilton Chicago Naperville

Overall it was a great stay. The staff was professional and displayed courtesy. Breakfast was great and the evening reception. Nice location. Very nice hotel. My complaints would be cleanliness: the walls in the room needed a good wipe down. The tile cracks in shower had some mold. There was a yellow stain on the sheet, it's possible it just didn't wash out properly (hopefully that was the issue), however I asked for extra sheets to put on top of the stained one, I had no problem getting them. I would stay again.

We arrived on a very busy weekend and the staff was very professional and pleasant. However, we found that we were assigned a room style that we did not book. We wanted 2 queen beds and got 1 king bed and a pull out sofa. It was not the end of the world but not ideal. When we got up to our floor, there was a very unpleasant smell. We found that it got stronger as we neared our room and was unbearable inside the room. I contacted the front desk and asked them to address both of our issues. Very politely they admitted that that had no other rooms to move us to. Because the smell (like sewer gas) was so bad, we could not stay. We left and found another place to stay. Our deposit and reservation costs were fully refunded.

Wonderful experience as always with the Embassy line fo hotels. The suites are great and roomy and the breakfast is one of the main reasons we go to this chain of hotels. Parking was free and that was a plus. Near downtown Naperville and close to my sisters whom I was visiting made this the ideal location for me and my family. We will be there again in July for my nieces wedding and the entire family of 100 will be staying at this hotel that are traveling from VA to IL. It's always our hotel of choice. The pool is a perk!

Ok. Overall stay was great. Housekeeping was average or below. Beds not made, towels replaced, and floor not cleaned. Cart to transport luggage old and noisy. Checkin was good, people friendly and knowledgeable. Breakfast was great with fresh cooked omelets and other items were wonderful. Cocktail hour was a bonus. the man bartender was quiet and rude at times, the lady bartender was wonderful. Overall trip and place was great. Details are lacking.

The whole second floor smelled. The room smelled worse. The sheets had tears, blood stains, and "other" unidentified stains on them. I contacted ******* and they were completely helpless in the situation. The next day I called the front desk again to see if anything could be done. The guy at the front said no there isn't anything to be done, oh and by the way we don't have a credit card on file so please come by the front desk so we can get that. I explained that I had given it upon check in. Waited at the front desk for 20 min. Nobody ever came to the desk. Later that day I went to the front counter again. I was told my room keys shouldn’t work because they disabled them so that I would have to come to the front counter. Still I handed them my card and they ran it again. I asked to speak to a manager and they assured me the manager would reach out. We needed additional towels as we didn’t get enough to start with. I had to call the front counter 4 times before we got them. 2 days later on check out day we requested more towels as they weren’t changed out. The front desk after calling 4 times over 2 hours said they are out of towels and could bring some from laundry after 11am. That’s check out time! Long and short, Arini is a figment of imagination as a manager for this property. It shows in the building and the staff. I now have 2 holds on my card, one of which the hotel can’t find or release. Room was dirty and smelled, and the sheets were absolutely disgusting.
