This is the only stay if you need to go to Karijini national park from the west coast. It's a 7 hour drive from Carnargon, literally in the middle of nowhere.
Thr cabin we booked was clean and we'll air-conditioned. The dinner there was fantastic, lamb was so tender. Food was exquisitely cooked. We could never imagine such a fine dinning experience in the middle of absolutely nowhere.
Shower was hot enough, air-conditioning was cool enough. There is a tiny hill you can hike up for sunrise and sunset. Also star gazing. Overall an excellent stay.

The Hosts were lovely, very easy to talk to. Place was clean and well presented. Enjoyed the burger night on Wednesday night. Cafe was also worth the visit. Coffee and cake yummy. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience of driving around the bush camping area and seeing the natural wonders.

Awesome spot. The 4WD safari is a must! Such a great day and amazing views and colours! The communal fire pit was a great social networking opportunity to get tips for our journey ahead.

Stayed one night en-route to Karijini in the Quail Room. Really enjoyed the stay. The room was well appointed with small kitchenette and had a relaxing outdoor space with uninterrupted views over the station. The restaurant offered well serviced generous dinner and good selection for continental breakfast including fresh fruit...and coffee. The staff provided a useful map and good instructions for the 4x4 trails which took us on an adventure further into the property. This is real twitcher territory with an amazing array of birdlife. Plenty of tranquil spots to relax and interest geological formations (mini Karijini) The camp sites looked clean and friendly, happy to return with the family and camper trailer next time.

leuke plek om voor 1 nachtje te staan. Handig als tussenstop onderweg van of naar Karijini NP. Wel een paar opmerkingen. Plekjes staan vrij dicht op elkaar. Weinig privacy. Sanitair in orde. Volgende ochtend ontbijten in bijbehorend cafe is in orde. Vriendelijke bediening.

Friendly staff, beautiful gorge
The food was amazing - they obviously choose to employ competent chefs. The staff were wonderful, helpful and friendly. The on-station gorge was well worth the visit, especially Mussell Pool and the nearby falls - you get to see the landforms of the Pilbara up close

If you like a fat pillow & cold room.
Booked into a Queen Room which included Dinner with a 2 course set menu plus a make you own breakfast. Thought the price was quite high but as we had been camping, looked forward to a night of luxury. The night was cold 9°C, there was no heater in the fairly small room, just an inverter with settings, cold, blow, dehumidify .. there was no humidity. Might be ok for Summer but not Winter! The mattress was very good but the only pillows were way too fat & not soft. Not sure how people sleep with those, I guess on your back all propped up. The bed cover was hard & stiff with no duvet, as least there was a synthetic blanket to give us some warmth. Woke up quite cold & a stiff neck & had to shower etc in the cold bathroom. For the price we paid the amenities in the room were rudimentary with cheap coffee sachets, no plunger or Nespresso machine. The bathroom tiles & the area around the toilet could do with a good scrub. It was quiet.
The fixed menu dinner that night was pork belly which I like, but this was hard & dry & didn’t eat a lot of it. Included was a glass of very average wine with a very limited selection. Dessert was nice. At breakfast. just a range of basic continental things which you sorted out for yourself. If you wanted an expresso or cappuccino you had to pay extra & not cheap.
If you were caravanning or in a campervan, would be nice to get a powered camp site, but the rooms accomodation leaves me cold. I wouldn’t stay in them again.

Will never stay again, have been coming here for a number of years and it has gone down hill….this year was the worst experience ever and will never stay again…. Left 5 days early because of the complete and utter rudeness and to be honest I would have been happier camping at the free camp up the road…. Just out right rude people….
