Location great. Main building seems nice enough. Our room was in the iut house not part of the main building. The room was dated, bathroom sink big crack in it. A terrible showe bath area one of those cheap tutted bathroom showers that are plastic. Our bedroom faced on to the walkway between a restaurant. The bins for clearing up the plates were directly outside our windows so the clattering of plates being cleaned started around lunch time and went on to around 10.30pm. We had to have our bedroom and bathroom blinds closed all the time as waitress staff co ata fly walked by our windows. It’s not a cheap place to stay. We stayed four nights and it cost $3,000 - which I understand is par for the course in Nantucket in August. But this hotels has many flaws and we happened to be in a room with more than its fair share of them. On the plus side the staff are friendly. And location is good. Also love that bikes were available, plus beach chairs and umberella. All part of the coat of staying here. Finally breakfast is a light continental - which was totally fine although by if a cramble to get it as it’s served in a small space with not enough seating.

Very mixed feelings with this hotel. Would we stay again, most likely no. First know that the rooms in the photos look nothing like the rooms in the building next door which we stayed and there is also a reason there are no photos of the bathroom, it’s horrendous. While the rooms are super run down, they did feel clean. The beds were very comfortable and the linens were cozy. The location to town is probably the highest light of the hotel, you’re in IN town. The staff… I wasn’t expecting a staff of seasonal islanders. We’ve actually stopped visiting the Caribbean because the service and attitude towards Americans was ruining our vacations. The staff was somewhat reminiscent of these experiences. They don’t seem to like Americans, but would like our money. The staff at was 50/50. Some eager to help, some seemed bothered. Turn down service was nice, they tidied up the room for our return after dinner leaving a fresh water and chocolate.

The Jared Coffin House is lovely. The staff are warm, helpful and accommodating, from the driver that met us at the dock, to housekeeping, to the front desk, staff, all great. Special thanks to Tevin, Sasha, Nordic,, and Emilia. Location is perfect for walking as it is Central to most everything. This is a historical home and is appointed authentically so you feel as if you’ve walked back in time. Everything was spotless clean. The breakfast each morning was thoughtfully put together with multiple items provided, fruit, croissants, muffins, oatmeal, coffee, tea, juice, etc. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit.

My daughter and I absolutely loved the Jared Coffin House. Our stay was perfect with the most ideal location in town. Great continental breakfast each morning and quaint B and B style rooms. Very friendly staff. The concierge was very helpful and knowledgeable. We can’t wait to return!
