The Nantucket Hotel & Resort

So very disappointing experience. The trip was a birthday gift from my daughter. I always wanted to go so the condition of the property was shocking. The hotel had fairly good reviews. The shutters in the windows would not stay open or closed due to use and poor maintenance. The sofa, chair and ottoman were heavily soiled. The lamps would not turn on consistently without some manipulation. The closet door scraped the floor every time it was opened and there were deep track marks on the floor to confirm that it was not a recent problem. There is a nice coffee maker in the room but the housekeeping staff did not leave any coffee pods. The front desk does not open until 8 am so you could not get coffee until sometime after that. We learned to pick them up in the gym so we could have them the next morning The gym was in the worst condition I have ever seen. The equipment was dated and none of the audio worked on the treadmills or the elliptical. We came back to our room from a lunch out and our door was open with no one in sight We had an outside sitting area that we paid extra for but the furniture was filthy. We took washcloths and towels and cleaned it off enough to be able to sit on You can’t call the front desk because there are no phones in the rooms. I left a very detailed review when contacted after our stay. We were contacted by the GM and Asst GM to further discuss our feedback. We told them that we left very detailed feedback and did not have much else to add but if it was helpful to them we would be happy to discuss. We in fact had a follow up call and they offered a return visit in order to make up for the visit. We were not eager to go back but decided to give it another chance. We have been unable to schedule a return because our emails are no longer being answered and our phone calls are going straight to voicemail. We did not ask for anything they offered and the follow up has been equally disappointing

My well-traveled 83 year old mom and I (50) stayed at the Hotel Nantucket in late June (we were told July and August are super crowded) The hotel met every expectation from the moment we checked in. The hotel was sold out yet the staff made us feel like we were the only ones there. They could shuttle us around within 2 miles, had a beautiful pool (one for kids/one adults only) and had fire pits at night which were the perfect way to end an evening. If we wanted a drink, someone was there to get us anything we needed. A special thanks to Corey, Jon, Angel and Fulya who made us feel so special and were always around to help with anything. They really made the experience that much better. They all had stories to share about the hotel and life on Nantucket. I have recommended this hotel to everyone one I have talked to, even my friends with very high taste and expectations. I'm positive you will enjoy your visit. I'd recommend adding the Lobster Fest at the hotel to your list and also an Historic Driving tour so you can see the whole island.

The Nantucket Hotel is top notch! We will definitely be back. The service is amazing, it’s a cozy atmosphere, close to everything in town, & everyone at the hotel has a smile on their face. Made us feel at home. And when our flights cancelled & we stayed an extra night, they were so accommodating in helping us extend our stay. Thanks for helping make our stay on Nantucket a great one. We will see you again soon.

The suites are so unique and the staff is very accommodating and friendly. Fulya made our stay feel like we were arriving at home away from home. She is the most accommodating person I have ever met and made our stay so special! The sauna was a nice amenity during our stay. Will definitely be back!

We had the most amazing time- this hotel is absolutely flawless. They think of every single detail!! Every staff member is super attentive, helpful, friendly and just absolutely wonderful. We’re already planning our trip back for next summer!

The staff is so friendly, attentive and professional. I came here with my daughter and her friend and we had the best time! Our room had champagne and cookies; and a nice card welcoming us to the hotels. Rooms were spacious, clean.. perfect! It is a bit expensive, but worth every penny. We will be back!
