JJianiniOn our drive back to Beijing from Sanya, we were enjoying the journey when our child suggested seeing a Tulou. We made a spontaneous decision to visit this place. The owner was incredibly friendly, and we learned so much chatting with them. This Tulou is over a century old. Initially, I noticed the windows had no glass and thought it was just for ventilation, only to discover they actually had a clever little mechanism! Haha.

MM831476****Zhangzhou City Nanjing is a hotel stay experience sharing. Recently, I stayed at the West Coast Zhixiang Hotel in the center of Zhangzhou City Nanjing County. The experience exceeded my expectations and I couldn’t help but comment on it under my real name! Location and transportation are the biggest highlights. The hotel is a 10-minute drive from Shangsu intersection. It is a newly opened hotel with thoughtful service details. The front desk check-in was efficient and proactively informed of the breakfast time. The guest rooms are meticulously cleaned, the bedding is soft and skin-friendly, and the sound insulation is excellent, so even people with light sleepers can have a good night's sleep. The price-performance ratio is also outstanding. You can enjoy star-level service for around 200 yuan, which is very suitable whether it is a temporary transition or a short-term stay. In short, from the convenience of transportation, service quality to your comfort, West Coast Zhixiang Hotel has handed in a high score answer sheet. I will choose this place again when I come to visit Tulou. I recommend it to all friends who are going to Nanjing Tulou self-guided tour.

VVythicaWe stayed in Floral Luxury.1949 Guesthouse for 1 night. We booked Mufan room located on the ground floor as i am travelling with my elderly mom and carrying heavy luggage bags.
The guesthouse butler will contact you the night before your arrival to add them to Wechat for easy communication. They will share their hotel location and offer pick-up service at the train station if required.
Access to Yunshuiyao town is RMB90 perpax and free for those aged above 65 years old. Yunshuiyao is a scenic town area with 3 km long (2 - 3 hours walk). We hired a chinese speaking guide to accompany us to explain the history of Huaiyan building (square tulou), Hegui building (round tulou), and the town area. It cost RMB100.
The guesthouse is located inside Yunshuiyao town, behind the shop houses, in-between waterwheel and 2 trees (named as husband and wife) aged above 670 years old.
When we reached there at 2.30 pm, it was raining. The hotel staff immediately came out with an umbrella to pick us up and assist with the luggage.
The check-in is fast, and the access to the room is by password, which they will share in Wechat. Checkout is also very easy.
The hotel offered free fruits twice a day, afternoon and evening.
The basic bathroom essentials are complete, and they also provide bathrobes. The bed and pillows are very comfortable for a good night sleep. Luckily the aircond can change to warm mode as it was very cold on raining day.
There's a mini kids playground for children's. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast set come with porridge and soya drink. Can topup if needed more. The in-house restaurant provides lunch & dinner with a la carte chinese foods menu.
The sky brightens at 5 am, while the sun rises high at 6.45am. If you are able to wake up early, this is the best time for you to revisit the town and tulou surrounding area for nice photos and cool breeze as only local people around. There's a roadside stall selling super long youtiao (equal to size of 2 youtiao) located near the stone bridge not far from guesthouse.
The whole Yunshuiyao town is covered with natural peebles pathway. Wear suitable shoes as it will be very slippery during the rainy day.

By the way, Mr. Zhang, the chartered car owner, is very nice and enthusiastic, explaining the whole process! The location of the B&B is very good. It is in the center of Tasha Village, opposite the hotel. It is very convenient. There are relatively fewer people here, so it is more leisurely and comfortable to live here! The experience was very good. I also tasted the wine brewed by the owner in the tavern downstairs. I will come again if I have the chance and stay a few more days.

The decoration is in a nostalgic campus style, but the hardware facilities are not outdated. You can see the subtle care that the owner put into the room design. There will be several modes of room lighting to suit various needs. The wet and dry partitions in the bathroom are relatively reasonable, and the sewers are smooth and do not accumulate water. The water heater has a large capacity, so you can take a comfortable bath without any problem. It has its own parking lot and is very convenient for self-driving. The location of the B&B is very close to the viewing platform of Four Dishes and One Soup, which has the advantage of seeing the lights and entering the village at night. The landlady usually drinks tea in the front hall. When you pass by and she is free, she will invite you to drink tea and chat with her. YYubaibaiqianshuiWe chose Grand Skylight Hotel because it is the only Ctrip Five Diamond Hotel in Yunshuiyao Scenic Area. We are not familiar with this brand, but when we walked through the heavy fog and came to the hotel from the mountain road with few cars and many bends, we felt like we had found the Ark. Although there were few people at the front desk, the service attitude was good and the efficiency was high, and we were quickly arranged to check in.
