It was a very special and wonderful 2-night stay. We loved everything about the property, especially the breakfast and tea gifts. The staff, from the reception to the kitchen, and the owner, whom we ran into and had a little chat, were all so friendly, and that made you feel very much welcome. We highly recommend this property to anyone planning to stay in Taxia Village.
The B&B is located in Taxia Village, Tianluokeng Tulou Scenic Area, beside a small bridge and flowing water. It is owned by the same owner as Su Sanqiu next door. Parking is available at the door, and meals are 10% off. It is quiet and comfortable with few people in the off-season. The B&B room has been upgraded to a garden room. The room is spacious and bright, very quiet at night, and will be woken up by small animals in the morning! Highly recommended! In addition: The hotel + Yunshuiyao ticket package is not a B&B package, but a Ctrip package. The B&B is in Tianluokeng Scenic Area. If you don't go to Yunshuiyao, don't choose this package, because Tianluokeng and Yunshuiyao are 2 scenic spots! The B&B is very good, the whole house is smart, and it is worth staying!

The lady in charge was really nice and helpful, she offered to drink a tea and gave tips for food outside. She speaks rather good English to communicate on every needs. The room is quite small and cozy, well decorated and offers all we hoped to find. Notice that the mattress is absolutely comfortable. As only 5 people still live in the place, it’s really quiet and we slept very deeply. It’s possible to have Chinese typical breakfast at the basement in a lovely room apart, this was good, generous and healthy. First floor and 2nd you can visit a little museum room with old tools and furniture.
As it wasn't a busy time and we were staying for a whole week, on check they upgraded us to the Wooden Loft Family Room, which was quite nice. The room was comfortable with big windows and a nice view across the stream to the forest. It was great to have a washing machine and the washing machine had a dryer function as well so we could still dry our clothes when it was cloudy and cool. The smart toilet was a bit disappointing as the controller wasn't very responsive and the flush was very weak. The tub was nice though the water was not quite hot enough to make it comfortable. Most of all we enjoyed the courtyard area and the breakfast/restaurant area, especially the tea room. They are really well designed and organized and provide a nice space to relax and read and write. The breakfast was quite nice, they provide a serving size based on the number of people, though it was often not enough for us and we normally asked for another serving. They also brought a fruit and yogurt platter to the room in evenings which we also enjoyed. The location is convenient to walk down to the Yuchanglou Tulou in Xiabancun, though part of the way will be on the main road which can be busy with traffic. To get to other areas such as Tianluokeng and Taxiacun it is also possible to walk, though again sometimes you have to walk on the main road as there is no walking path or small side road. There is a tourist bus service that goes between the scenic spots and you can even flag them down in between though you are supposed to have purchased a transportation ticket first and that is not striaghtforward to get if you didn't get it in advance. So, most guests come with their own car or rent one. If arriving by train, while trip.com shows the Yongding and Longshan railway stations as the closest, actually the quickest and most convenient station is the one at Nanjing. Also, because the hotel is within the scenic area you do need to purchase tickets to enter, either online tickets or paper tickets at the gate.
The lady boss was very nice. Since there weren't many people there, she upgraded us to a suite. The room was very clean, the viewing platform was first-class, and it was a very distinctive homestay. The quietness at night made you feel very comfortable. When you go out, you will reach Tasha Village, a very distinctive village.
I would like to thank all staffs for making our 2 nights stay so comfortable and amazing. They are all very helpful and their services are really wonderful. The place is very neat and clean.
I brought my 16 months old girl to the retreat. They have specifically prepared her dinner based on my requirement and I must say that their food are really very delicious.
Highly recommend for this retreat! Will definitely come back to this place again when I am here again.
The experience brought by this price is really worth it. Every space in the whole homestay is very beautiful, and the decorator is crazy about collecting some inspiration. In addition, the air in Tasha Village is very good. After staying for two days, I feel like I can live two more years.
I had an amazing stay. The location is incredible, just next to one of my favourite Tulou clusters. The family was super welcoming! I had the honour to share dinner with them and that made my experience even better as I'm a solo traveler. Even though they don't really speak English, we could discuss through online translator. Thank you again for arranging the tour and transport from the train station
A very cost-effective B&B. Although the room is not big, it is hygienic and clean. The balcony on the third floor can also be used to dry clothes. The boss is very enthusiastic and takes good care of the guests. It is not a self-driving service. The boss can help with pick-up and drop-off when he is free, and the charges are also reasonable. The dishes cooked by the proprietress are also appetizing, which is a perfect solution to the problem of taking children to eat. There is a small open space at the door where the baby can move around. Although it rained this time, I also saw fireflies. Although there were not many, I was very satisfied.

BB.tayThis place is a gem! Located in Taxia village, rooms are above a wine brewery. It is very clean, comfortable & cosy, equipped with heater (it’s winter) brightly lit if you’re looking to stay at the hakka village. The village itself is very beautiful both during the day and night. The owner is kind and polite who waited for us despite a very late check-in. We had a taste of her Chinese wine after dinner and they were all very good! I especially liked the plum and white wine. Bought them and they were packed nicely to withstand air travels. Highly recommended place to stay, a nice experience staying here! Wished we had more time. For breakfast you can go to the restaurant opposite which served very nice dishes. The villagers are very friendly too!
HHaopengyougongzuoshiIn Hekeng Tulou Village, this inn is relatively good, after all, there is not much room to choose from in this village.
The location is at the bridge, near the ticket office of the scenic spot. This is also a relatively popular place in the village. (In the off-season, the so-called popularity is to see a few more people)
The boss goes out to work, and someone will come to the store to call to open the door, and then arrange to check in by himself. You can find a room to go in, or you can boil water and make tea in it.
The inn does not provide catering, and there are basically no catering that can be found around. There is no commercial development in Hekeng, so it is important to choose to stay here and prepare something to eat and drink.
If there is no self-driving, the traffic should also be reserved, and you can make an appointment with the driver of the Tulou special line or the local motorcycle master.
GGuest UserSatisfied with the conditions, satisfactory location, good boss, the boss is very hardworking, get up early in the morning to wash the sheets, the air in the scenic area is really good, we came in late without tickets.
YYiyuxinlunThe inn is located in Taxia Village Scenic Area, 8km away from Tianluokeng Scenic Area and a 20-minute drive. We arrived at Yunshuiyao Scenic Area that afternoon and were stopped at the entrance of the village. We paid 90/person and visited for 2-3 hours. After dinner, we returned to the inn to stay, only to find out that there is a fee for this scenic spot in Taxia Village. We were also stopped at the entrance of the village and charged 90 yuan per person. It was already 8:30 pm and we didn’t have time to go shopping the next day. The hotel did not write this request clearly. In addition, the room fee is about 600, the projector family room, the facilities are very poor, it feels like the 90s, the bathroom and shower room are together, and there is no desire to take a bath.
Of course, it’s nice to take a stroll around Taxia Village outside the inn! The innkeeper is also very enthusiastic. The noodles for breakfast are 20/bowl, and the children are satisfied.
GGuest UserThe environment of the small courtyard is good, the location is great, the proprietress is very enthusiastic, and introduced us to various attractions. It was drizzling when we went there, and it was very comfortable to sit in the pavilion for dinner. The food cooked by the proprietress is also good. My son especially likes the salt-baked chicken in ”One Chicken, Two Dishes”. Thumbs up👍
SSixiluoI didn’t expect that the farmhouse hotel I booked last minute before the holiday was so cost-effective.
First of all, we checked the pet-friendly option when searching, so there were fewer accommodation options. We called the boss to confirm. The boss said that it was crowded during special festival periods. He specifically confirmed the size of the pet and asked us to take good care of it. The agreement was made on the premise that it would not affect other guests. We guaranteed this and it was a pleasure to negotiate.
When we arrived at the hotel, the owner’s sister warmly welcomed us, praising Oreo for being more obedient and well-behaved than the village dog, and she welcomed him very much.
Parking is available at the door, and even if it is full, there is a parking lot nearby
The location is very close to Yuchang Building, less than 5 minutes' walk away.
The exterior of the hotel is a rammed earth building, and the interior is completely covered with wood. The interior of the cabin
There are teahouses in the public areas on the first and second floors. After the boss is done working, he will come to drink tea and chat, and feel the enthusiasm of the Hakka people.
Lampshades, hanging paintings and other soft furnishings are full of earth building features
The best thing is the room, which is fully carpeted like a hotel and has all the necessary things. Only an experienced store owner can fully consider these details.
Disadvantages: The sound insulation effect is not very good, but this is a house renovation, not a hotel, and guests will not be too demanding about it.
No breakfast included
VVincentzzkkVisited my ancestral traditional living squatters built as a consolidated united community for better living environments and survival.
There are still many families living in the tulou. Main business is agriculture and tourism.
The roads leading to the tulou are made up of irregularly shaped stones. As such, it’s not easy to pull the big luggage along (few hundred metres walk). Recommend to carry backpacks for short stays, leave the big luggage at the tourists centre.
Good experience to live together with friendly people whom I can practice my Hakka.
They also provide home-cooked meals, reasonable prices. Good food.
GGuest UserThe room was very clean, the proprietress was very good, and she gave us an explanation, and there was breakfast in the morning. The location is in the scenic area, the air is particularly fresh at night, and the equipment is quite complete. It is also very close to the earth building, very recommended
GGuest UserJust near the observation deck on Tianluokeng Four Vegetables and One Soup, parking on the roadside is convenient. The boss and the wife are very enthusiastic. The bathroom in the room is a bit small, the washbasin faucet has no hot water, and it is probably not connected to the hot water pipe. This is very unreasonable.
