PLUS: Das historische Gebäude mit langer Geschichte und hoher Bedeutung für Nancy liegt mitten im Kern des Altstadt von Nancy. Das Gebäude ist ein historisches Denkmal und eine offizielle Sehenswürdigkeit mit Innenhof sowie sehr schönen öffentlichen Räumen. Das Standard-Doppelzimmer - es gibt sonst primär Suiten - war geräumig, sauber und zweckmässig eingerichtet, jedoch nicht so charmant wie erwartet. Das Bad mit kurzer, hoher Badewanne ist veraltet resp. zu klein. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, zumal das Hotel selbst und der private Parkplatz an einem anderen Ort nicht so einfach zu finden sind. Das Frühstück wird aufgrund einer Wunsch-Liste vorbereitet und am Tisch serviert. Die Qualität ist hoch, doch die Auswahl etwas eingeschränkt. MINUS: Das Personal ist sehr unterschiedlich, wir haben leider auch jemanden erlebt, der sich zwar grosse Mühe gab, aber leider nicht so versiert war. Beim Frühstück am zweiten Morgen liefen sogar Personen davon, weil es schlichtweg zu lange ging und Hotelgäste von einem 4-Sterne-Haus anderes gewohnt sind. Wenn es klappt wie am ersten Morgen, dann ist es ok, weil die Ausstattung dieser Räume und die Geschichte des Hauses begeistern. TIPPS: Für 1 - 2 Nächte empfehlenswert, besser Suite buchen und unbedingt einen Parkplatz, wobei die Suche trotz kleiner "Karte" abenteuerlich werden kann. Abendessen gibt es nicht im Hotel, dafür sehr viele Restaurants in der Nähe. Wer es wieder historisch will, geht ins "A la Table du Bon Roi Stanislas" oder anderswo in dieser wunderschönen Stadt mit viel Sehenswürdigkeiten.

Hôtel vieillot absolument pas rénové. Literie à ressort inconfortable, petit lit, salle de bain avec baignoire dangereuse et rideau tissu ! Robinetterie défectueuse (goutte à goutte), serviette de bain ridiculement petite, savon et shampoing pour une personne, une petite bouteille d’eau…tout est à l’économie. Service parking payant loin de l’hôtel et pas du tout pratique (2 télécommandes à ramener à l’hôtel) ! Et emplacement de parking sous un arbre avec fiantes d’oiseaux et nettoyage de la voiture au karcher obligatoire après une nuit. Bref un hôtel qui ne mérite ni les étoiles et encore moins son prix : une honte !

A historic experience
Very old hotel ok most 500 years. The owners have adapted to modern times but not all possible. The upper rooms have only stairs three levels.

We (2 adults, three younger children) stayed in Suite Ispahan for four nights. It is a beautiful hotel. The service is excellent. The hotel put an extra bed in the main room which one child used. The other two children were on the sofa bed in the other room. We did consider getting a second room, but the suite was large enough for all of us... including space for people to chill out. Kids could be in the other room and close the door. The breakfast room was fantastic - breakfast isn't a buffet, rather à la carte and the staff make what you like. The quality of the food is excellent. We were able to park in front of the hotel to drop our bags off in the room (and take time to do it) and then park the car at a nearby underground parking. The hotel is behind a fence where you get the code to open the gate to come/ go as you please. If you are in Nancy, this hotel is indeed excellent and we highly recommend it. The service and surrounds really feels like a five star hotel, but of course it doesn’t have a five star category because it doesn’t have all the services (Eg reception closes at 9pm).
