Came with my boyfriend. Our trip was from Shantou Railway Station by bus. It took about an hour to arrive. It was a few minutes walk from the water sports center. It was very convenient! The room was clean and warm. The only downside was that the bed was a bit hard. The boss recommended a better local seafood shop (there are a lot of people) and wanted to see the sunrise temporarily. The landlord also recommended the driver. It was the first time to get up at three in the morning to watch the sunrise! My necklace fell out of the room, and the landlord also helped me send it. Overall it was good. I will stay here next time.

The guesthouse has a unique exterior, which the kids loved. There's even a small loft they can climb up and down, which made them incredibly happy! Outside the rooms is a lawn with a small swing (though one side is a bit unstable and needs fixing soon, as a fall would be a problem for the children). It's a great place for kids to play happily. The hotel is just across the road from the beach, within walking distance, where you can wade and splash in the water – the kids had a blast! There's also a shrine to oranges nearby.

A trip to Chaoshan wouldn't be complete without a visit to Nan'ao Island! 😁 And of course, a sea-view room was a must. After browsing countless options, we finally settled on Zhiyu. With two beds, it was perfect for our large family getaway and offered the best overall value for money. Pulling back the curtains revealed a stunning 180-degree sea view. The distant windmills, cruise ships on the horizon 🛳️, and the vast blue ocean 🌊 truly enhanced our trip. The room was well-equipped with amenities like an aromatherapy diffuser, a tea set, a speaker, and even disposable bath towels (a minor suggestion: individually sealed tissues would be a nice touch!). It also featured a refrigerator and a washing machine (quick tip: the fridge had a slight odor that could be addressed ☺️). The host even provided two electric scooters 🛵, and cruising around Nan'ao Island with the sea breeze made this summer incredibly satisfying. Before we checked out, the host presented us with local souvenirs, which really made us feel like true Chaoshan locals 🙃.

Overall, a stay experience with almost full marks, no matter from location, facilities, services, details, and cost performance, it is perfect, it is worth collecting and staying repeatedly. 1. Our family of three generations stayed in different room types, and the environment was always comfortable and clean. The staff provided polite and attentive service. The pool suite was absolutely amazing; the seawater was filtered and the water quality was exceptionally good—salty yet free of impurities. The water was changed every time we stayed, making it feel as safe as taking a bath at home. Our two-year-old brother was safely playing in the shallow pool in our room with his older siblings. The older and younger children could soak after meals and before bedtime. The large pool on the first floor was probably about 1.23 meters deep, perfect for older children to swim in. The little rascals had a blast swimming in the sea these past two days, releasing all their energy!
