Good hotel in a city center location, very friendly staff, very simple room, mediocre and quite expensive breakfast, instant coffee. There's nothing more to say, but I have to fill the 200-character review. I'm almost there.

コラート旧市街地（堀の内側）にある5階建ての老舗の名門ホテル。コラート市内観光の名所の一つに数えられるヤーモー広場が徒歩圏内にある他、近代期の混沌としたタイの町並みを未だ色濃く残す商業エリアの正しく中心部に位置するロケーションが最大の魅力。ホテル物件そのものは1969年に竣工したとされ、同じ旧市街地内にあるチョームスラーン ホテル（1966年竣工）とともにコラートを代表する高級ホテルとして知られてきた。ロビー周辺から客室に至る豪華絢爛な装飾は正に近代期のタイで流行した高級感の演出そのもので何とも懐かしい気分を覚えた。客室は現代の基準で見て手狭である上に無理やりリノベーションを加えたような跡が随所に残り今ひとつだが、老舗ならではの高級感の演出や快適性の確保は抜かりなく行っていて好感が持てる。

I stayed here for one night on a two-week self-driving road trip that included Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, Lampang, Nan, and Nong Khai, following the Mekong and the borders with Laos and Cambodia. This is a typical It’s a typical Asian city-center-style budget hotel the likes of which can be found throughout Thailand and the region in general. I chose this accommodation because it had ample parking and good reviews. The room and bathroom were large, comfortable, and reasonably clean. The refrigerator, air conditioning, hot water, and wi-fi worked well. The bedding, towels, etc. were good. At a walk-in rate of 1000 THB, I thought it was average but perfectly suitable for a night’s stay. A local-style breakfast was also included.
