Route: The last 2kms or so towards the resort, are quite rugged terrain, but we managed with our sedan. A bumpy ride, but no worry if you drive carefully. Tip: Get your car vitals checked before you plan your trip. Welcome: It was fabulous. The resort owners (Anil ji) were also present at the reception & received us cordially. We spent some time with him & he patiently & happily answered all our questions on the resort, the surroundings, the nearby village, the trek paths & everything else. Hosts: Anil ji & his team were really courteous & helpful during our stay. We never felt the need to ask for anything twice. His team & staff were v helpful all the time - ready to jump at every opportunity to provide assistance. Food: Always greeted with piping-hot, delicious food. The good part - always a home cooked meal, with no extra oils, nothing unhealthy to repent later. And they gave us a taste of Punjab, Uttarakhand, South-India as well as chinese delicacies. Local Sightseeing: We were taken on two trekking tours - one towards a temple on a mountain top & the other one that took us to a waterfall. These treks & their memories will stay with us forever. Anil Ji was so supportive when we felt tired or gave up, cosidering some of the stretches were tough. But HIGHLY recommended. It's must do for erveryone who loves adventure. We did not do the Naina peak trek because of the lack of time, but i intend to do that on our next visit. We were also given a tour of the local village where we could actually see their customs & lifestyle. Rooms: The rooms were cozy & comfortable & sufficient for our family of 3. Awesome view of the mountains & the greenery around. Some of the birds we spotted early in the morning -- green, red, blue, yellow, purple -- never seen before. Just wake up early & enjoy the sunrise - worth every penny. And th sunset view was equally stunning. Connectivity: Only JIO was available. No other network - So no 4G/3G/2.5G. The rooms & everywhere else in the resort had excellent wifi available. The electricity did play spoilsport some times, but we frankly didn't mind that much. I believe it was a temporary glitch Activities: We played badminton, archery, basketball in the premises. Enjoyed the bonfire twice with millions of stars twinkling & visible (we miss that so much in our metros now). We went in the last week of December & the weather was awesome. Not sure if the last 2 miles will still be open when it snows. But worth planning your next family vacation. Anil Ji & his team will make your trip memorable.
