The property is in a peaceful location, just 1.5 km from Mall Road. The ambience is warm, with soothing live flute music in the mornings during breakfast and good singing by the bonfire in the evenings. The food was flavorful and of good quality, though the breakfast buffet felt overpriced. We opted for an à la carte dinner, which was tasty, especially the paneer dishes that the kids absolutely enjoyed. The rooms were clean, and the staff was courteous, always greeting us with Namaskar. Well maintained heritage hotel at Nainital. Good location, calm & quiet, great good view ( may not for all rooms). Restaurant Gurney house is well kept with reasonable taste. They serve Kumaon cuisine which was exceptional, you need to order one day before or during breakfast for dinner. Staff is friendly & helpful. Hotel provides free shuttle service to Mall Road from 10am to 7pm which is very helpful. They have live music during dinner & live flute play during breakfast & both artists were excellent. They have camp fire every evening. Hotel has ample parking which seems very important in Nainital.

Well maintained property, spacious well appointed rooms. Restaurant is nice with local food options. They have free shuttle to & fro to Mall Road. Supportive staff & vibrating atmosphere.

The property is located in a quiet location away from the hustle and sound which is what you want for a vacation spot. However there is a downside for the same as well as it is almost 2 kms away from the happening places such as Mall Road, Lake etc. and you have to either walk up to those places or take a cab as parking is a huge problem over there. Apart from that, hotel food was quite good and cleanliness was maintained. They also have parking available within the hotel which is not the case with some of the hotels in the area. Rooms are spacious. Staff was also courteous and well behaved. They light bonfire and karaoke music during dinner and flute during breakfast is played which makes them unique. They are a bit old school in terms of technology as they are still using keys instead of cards. Rates are a bit on the higher side I would say but rest all is good.

Very nice hotel. Staff courteous. Food was pretty good. Distance from the Naini Lake is easily negotiable by car.
Only thing I found out from guests who were checking in, is that they got the rooms at a price way lower than what we got from the Make MyTrip site since they booked from other sites. The price we paid was almost double the original price.

Staff is very nice. Pick and drops to the mall road are quickly available (in the allowed time window). Property is well maintained and comfortable. They have a small but nice restaurant with decent variety and good taste. We even tried a few items from their Kumaoni menu and liked it.
