This is a once in a lifetime experience. Such a privilege to stay in this beautiful 12th century fort. Walking the ramparts at sunset was amazing as was wandering through the wonderful old buildings and gardens after the public have gone 😃 Our room and courtyard was massive and you could imagine the wives staying here in the past. You must do the guided tour of the fort to understand how the Maharaja and his wives lived here - parts perfectly preserved but all atmospheric, with great stories about their ingenuity in providing water and air conditioning! We also did the Heritage tour , visiting the Cenotaph and Temple as well as walking the streets and market - Abishek did a tremendous job and we really enjoyed it . Pool area lovely with sunbeds and shade . Food superb and the service 10/10👍.

Wow. This was the most relaxing night of our whole trip to India -- and in such a setting! If you've ever dreamed of living in the queen's quarters, this is your chance. Our room was elegant, comfortable and so charming. The food was delicious, and we absolutely loved the setting of the outdoor dinning hall. And the pool -- bougainvillea, block print canopies, peacocks! Enjoy your stay in this magical place!

What a wonderful place to stay. The palace is being slowly restored and is inside a fort. The surroundings, the staff the food and the rooms were all 5 star. We had a private tour of the grounds included in our stay, and I have to say, we were treated as if we were royalty. An amazing experience all round.

This is the most stylish, luxury hotel I have stayed in. There was no glitz just calm elegance. Our room was huge , with a blissful huge bed and a powerful shower. The private tour of the palace/ fort was informative and we were given access to all areas. The food was delicious and the staff extremely helpful. The pool was chilly but great to swim in.

If you are interested in staying at an excellent hotel with visiting rights to an amazing fort, stop at the Ranvas Hotel in Nagaur for more than one day. I have heard that drivers and guide books want you to skip this town. Don't believe them. Our hotel offered large rooms, a swimming pool, excellent food, and an ever-attentive staff. The General Manager, Mr. Shimbhoo Singh Bhati, whose English is perfect, is grace personified. He arranged for us to take a tour of the fort, took care of some financial matters and solved an internet glitch. We couldn't have been happier with our stay. By the way, the Nagaur fort is worth visiting. Our guide took us on a two hour tour of a most interesting "garden palace." The time flew by and the lifestyle of times gone by came to life. How water was conserved yet used creatively was an eye-opener. The paintings on the walls and ceiling are being restored. They are beautiful.

Such an interesting place to stay - we were fascinated exploring the fort and its many buildings including the hotel. Spacious rooms which were most comfortable with outdoor seating areas. Wonderful staff who looked after us very well. Tasty breakfasts . We enjoyed relaxing beside the pool and in the lovely grounds.

WOW! Utterly amazing hotel, right in the 36 acre fort, in 16 renovated Queens’ villas. Uber chic - everything is superbly done from the decorations, pool area, service, accommodations, food. They arranged for us to be taken around the Palace which was wonderful and even escorted us later on foot on the ramparts and into the town market. We had the place to ourselves in one night and were treated like Maharajas! Would not hesitate to recommend - we are certainly going to come back - probably for the Sufi Festival. Very special property!

What a truly magical place this hotel is. From the moment we arrived we felt completely relaxed. It is an oasis of tranquility. We were only staying here for one night to recharge our batteries and wish we could have stayed much longer. The staff were discreet but always on hand and our evening meal and breakfast were first class. If you wish you can have a free tour of the fort but after almost two hectic weeks travelling all we wanted to do was chill out. The pool area was the best place to do this and we swam in the stone built pool feeling like princesses from bygone royalty. The fort was built by the Maharaja for his many queens and is full of lovely seating areas with furnishings that will transport you back to the days of the great Maharajas. We had our evening meal on the terrace which was so peaceful. Our room was beautifully decorated and in keeping with the hotel’s history with some charming touches. We were extremely comfortable and had a fabulous restful night’s sleep. The manager was very willing to accommodate a later check out to fit with our travel plans so that we could enjoy further time by the pool which, by this time, we had entirely to ourselves the following morning. There is also a very good shop tucked away and if you wanted to you can actually walk into town but personally I would never want to leave this place. We spent three weeks touring India and stayed in some excellent hotels but this was, by far, the highlight of our trip. What a wonderful hotel.
